Administrative department -- This department will develop a comprehensive Manual of Style for Ethiopia-related articles including transliteration and pronunciation of words usually written in Ge'ez script. This department will also be in charge of clean-up of good articles and flagging of articles that need attention by other departments
Assessments department -- These editors work to assess and categorize articles within the scope of the project, possible nomination for GA or FA. They will therefore be responsible for the Outline of Ethiopia, and the Portal:Ethiopia
Outreach department -- These editors work to recruit and welcome new editors to the project.
Sub-projects -- The following departments will concentrate on specific topics. Notice each Subproject has its own page. You can suggest new articles for the sub-project in its own page. Some articles maybe within the scope of more than one department.
- History and politics department -- History of Ethiopia, Politics of Ethiopia, Emperors and dynasties, wars, battles, history of church, historical biographies, Political biographies etc.
- Geography department -- Geography of Ethiopia,Regions of Ethiopia, Zones of Ethiopia, and Districts of Ethiopia, cities, lakes, mountains, rivers Historical provinces, etc.
- Languages department -- Languages of Ethiopia
- People and culture department -- Demographics of Ethiopia, Culture of Ethiopia, literature, ethnic groups, religions, and holidays also includes biographies of people in pop culture, media, music, film, radio, etc.
- Economy and infrastructure department -- Economy of Ethiopia, Transport in Ethiopia, Health in Ethiopia, Education in Ethiopia, Urbanization, Rural life, also includes biographies of any people in related subject
- Climate and environmental department -- Environmental issues in Ethiopia, Wildlife of Ethiopia, Climate of Ethiopia, Climate change
