Thanks but I realised my mistake when you had pointed it out, I had read the source and intro wrong, sorry for the misunderstanding. Also, I believe Unified Protector is separate to the French and British strike actions and not the combination of all allied operations, such that some British ships had been moved to Unified Pro while some still stayed with Ellamy. no problem :-) as for the French and British strike actions, they are under NATO, but they have much loser rules of engagement than i.e. the Norwegian planes. Hello. I would like your opinion on a sentence of policy. This request does not concern Operation Odyssey Dawn and I have decided not to work on that article any more. The sentence that I would like your opinion on is the first sentence of Wikipedia:Verifiability which states,
"The threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth: whether readers can check that material in Wikipedia has already been published by a reliable source, not whether editors think it is true."
In your own words, what does this sentence mean? Please note that this is not meant to be the start of any kind of debate with you and I am only honestly interested in your opinion. I would certainly support such a nomination, however I have nominated it previously on the ground of being a copy-edit. When proof was presented that such was not the case the nomination was taken down. Thus, if I would nominate it a second time, it may be perceived as if I was out to get that article. The edit was made to improve the flow of the sentence, which I assumed was acceptable as it appeared to be a paraphrase of Chua's work. The problem with that is though, the task force itself isn't based on first and second waves. The waves situation just happened to be the way the ships joined together this time to form the one task force, it was only a product of the fact the second group of ships were quite far apart from the first group when it sailed. The issue here is that Ocean is still a constituent of the RFTG fleet. It being deployed to Libya doesn't change that as the RFTG is a fleet with assigned ships, their location has little bearing. No Ocean is part of the deployment to Unifited Protector/Ellamy no longer COUGAR11 nor RFTG. Unless you show me a source that says "still part of RFTG". You haven't.I have shown you sources that Ocean is deploying from one deployment to another. You have to proof beyond doubt that it is going to rejoin the RFTG after UP/Ellamy. You need a source to back that up. The SSNs are more significant that most of the FRTG ships in terms of firepower. The Type 45s are definitely more significant than the "forever assigned" HMS Ocean. In this context the meaning refers to the assets deployed which despite being important naval assets, make up a significant chunk of the Royal Navy. Indeed, it's certainly worth including to help with balance issues but to be frank, I've given up with that article for now, that whole section is too big and filled with a large amount of irrelevant information that people with an agenda seem intent on posting (both sides). WikiProject Military history coordinator election voting has commenced
Hello! Voting in the 2021 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 6 December 2021. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
