Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. However, in your recent edit to Semi-automatic rifle, you added links to an article which did not add content or meaning, or repeated the same link several times throughout the article. Please see Wikipedia's guideline on links to avoid overlinking. Thank you. Brandon (talk) 07:27, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. However, in your recent edit to Linus Sebastian, you added links to an article which did not add content or meaning, or repeated the same link several times throughout the article. Please see Wikipedia's guideline on links to avoid overlinking. Additionally - it is not necessary to conduct daily updates to view/sub stats for YouTube channels, as you did at Linus Media Group. Wikipedia is not considered a real-time source for such information. Thank you. --Picard's Facepalm • Made It So Engage! • 19:52, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! --Picard's Facepalm • Made It So Engage! • 20:17, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for reverting your recent experiment with the page semi-automatic rifle. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to the encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment further, please use your sandbox instead, as someone could see your edit before you revert it. Thank you. --Picard's Facepalm • Made It So Engage! • 20:23, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
I have reviewed all of your edits, and unfortunately had to revert or modify most of them - which has been quite a task. You seem to have a knack for adding repetitive wikilinks in articles. WP generally does not allow for that, instead linking the first instance in infoboxes and also the first instance within the article text itself. This helps to prevent an article becoming a sea of blue links. Please see WP:OVERLINK for more information. You also often link to very common words such as marriage or the names of countries in articles which are already related to those countries. WP doesn't allow for this, either - again - to avoid a sea of blue links within articles. Please see WP:COMMONWORDS for more info. You have also frequently linked ambiguous words, which required other editors to come in behind you and disambiguate them to their correct location. Please review WP:DAB and MOS:DAB, and review the links you are trying to include by previewing your edits to ensure they do not lead to DAB pages. Also be sure that the wikilinks you are adding are actually and directly related to the topic or article you are linking from - a few of your links have not been. As an aside - not everything needs to be linked. Please take the opportunity to review MOS:LINKING for more information on what & when is appropriate for linking with articles, and how to properly link them. Generally linking articles together not need to be done nearly to the degree that you have been doing - but rather substantive and reliably sourced content needs to be added. Lastly - it is imperative that you include edit summaries in all of your edits. If you have any questions - please post them here, or to my talk page. Thanks. --Picard's Facepalm • Made It So Engage! • 22:01, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Linus Media Group. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. --Picard's Facepalm • Made It So Engage! • 15:17, 27 January 2025 (UTC)
