For reverting that LTA on MTV 80s. I can't thank IP editors due to technical mediawiki restrictions, so I decided to give you a cookie instead :)

- If someone reverts one vandalism edit but not the vandal edit before, of course their revert is going to get reverted as part of removing the older piece of vandalism. If people wish to avoid this, actually checking the article for more vandalism rather than just scoring Internet Points™ by being FIRST! to remove the latest would be the way to go. Under his belt
Hello,
I've noticed that you are presently going through and purging the encyclopedia of the phrase "under his belt". While cliches and idioms should often be avoided in favor of direct language, please be sure to insert direct language in the place of the cliche when doing this. Just chopping the phrase out can make sentences be a bit hard-to-read at times.
— Red-tailed hawk (nest) 20:54, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
- I am – other edits show that I'm changing the syntax when required. I felt that the sentence in C'est la Guerre read well enough without it. Your mileage has varied. *shrug* 81.2.123.64 (talk) 20:56, 23 November 2024 (UTC)

Fresa
There are no resources to it, I added the traits of a "fresa" in Mexico. As a Mexican myself I notices the previous definition focused it on an economic and education definition, which is based in examples from soap operas that are mocking the traits, I clarify the traits ARE what makes a person to be CONSIDERED a "fresa". Traits and can be from any social status. JoyLaur (talk) 15:59, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
- One of our most important policies here is that we don't print anything unless it has a reliable source. We can't accept an edit that adds your personal experience. We need you to include a citation to someone else saying what you want to say. You can have a look at referencing for beginners for more information. 81.2.123.64 (talk) 13:50, 3 January 2025 (UTC)
Recent reverts
Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template index/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. Fishy-Finns (talk) 19:35, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
- I already hit them with uw-vand4im on the first IP they were on, which they have seen, and then reported them to AIV. There is no point repeatedly templating them as they jump IPs. 81.2.123.64 (talk) 19:37, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
- Yeah, my bad. I was watching WP:AIV and RC but I didn't see that you mentioned they jumped IPs. I see now that you warned the original IP and then reported, which I didn't first look at. Sorry again :) Fishy-Finns (talk) 19:41, 4 January 2025 (UTC)

- I don't doubt you, but we need a reliable source to tell us that, not just you. 81.2.123.64 (talk) 16:56, 7 January 2025 (UTC)
- Should I upload you screenshots or what? I mean what do you mean as reliable source, beacuse no news speak about it but yes most fans. RedStarEditor (talk) 19:54, 7 January 2025 (UTC)
- We need a link to a reliable source. If there isn’t one — if, for instance, there’s a nickname that everybody uses but nobody has ever mentioned it in a newspaper for some reason — then it cannot be added to our encyclopaedia. Sorry about that. 81.2.123.64 (talk) 00:22, 8 January 2025 (UTC)

- There is a possibility that the English-language Wikipedia is not the best place for you. We require editors here to have at least a basic grasp of English, which seems not to be present in your writing. Why not have a look at the List of Wikipedias and pick the one for your native language? They'd love you to help out! 81.2.123.64 (talk) 17:05, 15 January 2025 (UTC)

BOvejawdfjdslafj
Both in reverting and in your messages at user talk:BOvejawdfjdslafj you did close to what I was planning to do, but you got there first. Use of Grammarly is really so unhelpful. I suppose it may be helpful for someone with a very poor ability to write English, enabling them to at least somewhat reduce their error rate, but in the hands of someone with a low level of competence trying to "correct" something written and edited by more competent writers, it can be lethal. JBW (talk) 20:18, 9 February 2025 (UTC)
- Grammarly makes me shudder. You can always spot when an email (or, worse, a Wikipedia article!) has been run through it: the language becomes stilted and more specialised terms get bowdlerised. Painful! Thanks for rescuing what was useful in the changes. 81.2.123.64 (talk) 20:22, 9 February 2025 (UTC)
Legal issues
In a recent edit to the article Laurence Westgaph you wrote "Under the Article 17 of GDPR, Westgaph has the legal right to have his personal information about spent convictions removed from online search results and directories as they are spent and over 16 and 25 year old". I am not a lawyer, nor am I acquainted with every detail of the General Data Protection Regulation, but the following comments may be relevant. The General Data Protection Regulation has force in a large number of European countries, but the Wikimedia Foundation's servers are in the United States. A Wikipedia article is certainly not "online search results", and I doubt that is regarded as a directory for the relevant purposes. In any case, statements about what you think should or shouldn't be in an article belong in talk pages and other discussion pages, not in the article itself. JBW (talk) 00:10, 11 February 2025 (UTC)
- (talk page watcher) @JBW Unless I'm missing something, I'm pretty sure that 81 removed that line. It was added by another editor in Special:Diff/1275042841. GreenLipstickLesbian (talk) 00:26, 11 February 2025 (UTC)
- I'm really sorry. GreenLipstickLesbian is right. I somehow misread the editing history. I was actually rather surprised, because from my experience of your editing history I thought that was out of character for you. JBW (talk) 00:32, 11 February 2025 (UTC)
- No worries. I actually brought up the issue of that editor’s weird GDPR disclaimer on the BLP noticeboard, precisely because it doesn’t apply to Wikipedia. 81.2.123.64 (talk) 01:09, 11 February 2025 (UTC)
