I used to enjoy editing and creating content for Wikipedia, but unfortunately there are people like Marchjuly, EvergreenFir, Lugnuts, and Jkaharper* who seem to have nothing better to do than deleting and/or pooping on other people’s work. This has ruined participating in Wikipedia for me. As a result, I have decided to no longer add anything new. If I am reading something and notice something grammatically incorrect I might make a change, but I am no longer willing to spend my time and energy to create things others can destroy with the click of a mouse while quoting some obscure rule or by using some poll in which the only voters are other like-minded deletionists.
I will remain logged-in and will continue to read articles on most days. Therefore, if you leave a message here about something I have posted in the past, I will see it within a few days and will probably reply.
Wikipedia could be great. A modern-day Library of Alexandria. Unfortunately there are people who are so danged nitpicky they just ruin it for everyone else.
Peace-out.
