Parameters
- category – set
|category=noif, and only if, a banner is being used for demonstration or testing purposes, to prevent unnecessary or undesirable categorization. Otherwise, omit this parameter.
Notes and alerts
- attention – set
|attention=yesif the article needs immediate attention from experienced editors. Use only if another parameter does not cover the need for attention; this should be used sparingly. It is strongly encouraged to also add a section to the talk page explaining what needs attention. This parameter populates Category:Alabama articles needing attention. - Imageneeded – set
|Imageneeded=yesor any non-blank value other than "no", "n" or "0". The following message will be displayed: "An editor has requested that an image be added to this article. Please work with WikiProject Alabama to add a suitable image to this article." This will populate Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in Alabama.

- Disambiguation pages will automatically be classified as Disambig-class and placed in Category:Disambig-Class Alabama articles.
