There's at least one article that explicitly states "Mother Monster" as an honorific title for Gaga. Also in the book The Oxford Handbook of the Bible and American Popular Culture by Dan W. Clanton Jr et. al., the authors used the phrasing "referred to as Mother Monster" which is contextually similar to the usage of the terms "widely", "dubbed" or "often called" which is one of the requirements for inclusion of such title. As a point of contention it would be wise to discuss why you believe the title "Mother Monster" is just a nickname and not an honorific title bestowed to her by media and her fans. -J.avanzado (talk) 04:33, 9 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
"Mother Monster" doesn’t carry the same honorific weight as titles like "Queen of Pop", which Gaga is already listed for in this article. To be honest, even her Wikipedia article writes Gaga's fans call her "Mother Monster", and she often refers to them as "Little Monsters", which tells me that this nickname isn't used much outside her fandom. ɴᴋᴏɴ21❯❯❯talk22:01, 9 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If that's the case, then shouldn't it be too for "Father, Son and the Holy Ghost", "Vocal Trinity", "Asia's Songbird", "The Boss", "The Stupendous One", "The Chairman of the Board", "The Artist", "The Sun of Mexico", "Mama Africa" (this one even resembling Mother Monster), etc which were all listed in this wiki page? In my view honorifics shouldn't be boxed in titles that has "Queen/King of something" in them and that Mother Monster by definition fits the categories of an honorific title separate from her Queen of Pop title which has been contested by other people most notably by fans of Madonna, as does all these titles I listed and all the cases of such titles throughout history which most of the time started as sobriquets attached to them by other people like historians, journalists or fanatics. —J.avanzado (talk) 04:28, 12 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If I may add, "Queen Bey" which is a nickname given to Beyoncé by her fans was permitted to be added here as one of her honorific titles. In that light, shouldn't it be fair for Mother Monster to be added to Lady Gaga's as her honorific title too, since it carries the same prestige as that of Beyoncé which is the point of contention here? —Haley.Parrot (talk) 12:17, 9 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
* You really need to discuss this and allow the discussion to develop.
Before starting the process see WP:RFCBEFORE
RfCs are time consuming, and editor time is valuable. Editors should try to resolve their issues before starting an RfC. Try discussing the matter with any other parties on the related talk page. If you can reach a consensus or have your questions answered through discussion, then there is no need to start an RfC.Lukewarmbeer (talk) 17:39, 31 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The problem was that the respondent stopped responding, that's why I started an RfC to get the opinion of other editors regarding this dispute. –J.avanzado (talk) 08:10, 1 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
My apologies for not responding, but I have to stand by what I said earlier. I don't think this nickname is honorific enough for the purposes of this article. All of the other nicknames you mentioned is in fact honorific in the context of their native country/region, industry, and the likes. If other editors have opinions on this, then please feel free to chime in. ɴᴋᴏɴ21❯❯❯talk20:52, 5 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Shouldn’t she be listed under A.B as “The Queen of Tejano”. I saw that Laura Canales already has it but many of the titles have been given to one person. Selena is commonly referred to as “The Queen of Tejano”, so it’d make sense to have her listed. 2600:1003:B119:BADD:19A:54F1:C6BD:B4FB (talk) 22:11, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Edit request -> add Amália Rodrigues
Amália Rodrigues should be added and listed as "Queen of Fado".
