Note to self
Note to self: the "Beasey" / "Beasy" who played for Hibbing in the late 1910s is Emil, as only two of the four Beasy brothers played football and the other was born in c. 1909 per this. BeanieFan11 (talk) 23:08, 13 February 2025 (UTC)

- In the lead it says he played "professionally" for Hibbing, but in the body it says "semi-professionally". This should be clarified and consistent.
- The source for 1916 says they were then semi-professional. I would have assumed that Hibbing was later fully-professional if they frequently played against NFL teams, but I can't find a source for that, so I changed "professionally" to "semi-professionally".
as a boxer, being a middleweight.
-->middleweight boxer
although Packers.com identified him as having played college football for the University of South Dakota.
instead of "Packers.com", I would just say "the Green Bay Packers"being named their captain and playing as their catcher.
--> "while playing as their catcher"- If you implement the comment above, you can change "Green Bay Packers" to just "Packers" in the first sentence of the "Green Bay Packers and later career" section
in Hibbing and did so through at least 1933
-->in Hibbing, doing so through at least 1933
Beasy remained a firefighter, and he as vice chairman of the Minnesota Fire Department Association.
-->Beasy remained a firefighter and was the vice chairman of the Minnesota Fire Department Association.
- I would move
He served as a fire warden for 42 years.
to right after the "Minnesota Fire Department Association" sentence. - References are consistently formatted and reliable for what is being cited.

This article, promoted to GA on Feb 14, is new enough, long enough, well-sourced, and presentable. No copyvio issues. QPQ done Image public domain and legible at low res. All three hooks are okay, but I have to say this jumped out at me:
- ALT3: ... "Busy" Beasy was a boxer, professional footballer, and firefighter, all at the same time?
- @BeanieFan11: let me know if this hook works for you, and I can request another reviewer for it. Tenpop421 (talk) 15:27, 5 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Tenpop421: Ooh, I like that one, though I'd tweak it a little to ALT3b ... that "Busy" Beasy was a boxer, professional football player, and firefighter, all at the same time? BeanieFan11 (talk) 16:45, 5 March 2025 (UTC)
New reviewer needed to verify ALT3b (thank you for the variant BeanieFan11!). Tenpop421 (talk) 16:46, 5 March 2025 (UTC)
