Editors for deletion (EfD), originally created by R then recreated by LaraLove Jennavecia and then given to GlassCobra, is where Wikipedians discuss whether an editor should be deleted. Editors listed here are debated for up to ∞, after which the deletion process proceeds based on Wikipedia community consensus. The editor is then either kept, merged and/or redirected, transwikied, renamed/moved to another username, or deleted, deleted and salted, or deleted, salted and peppered (with a side of onion rings) per the deletion policy.[Verify]

This page explains what you should consider before nominating, the steps for nominating single or multiple editors, and how to discuss an EfD. It also lists the editors currently under consideration and includes a 'hall of notoriety'.

  • You must not be listed here.
  • The editor must not be listed here.
  • The editor must be established and active, as new users may not understand the seriousness of this process.
  • You may not list more than one editor per week.

If you want to participate in this page, the following must be met:

  • You must not be listed here.
  • You must understand WP:CIVIL, WP:NPA, and WP:DRRC, acknowledge that those policies apply here, as everywhere else on Wikipedia, and that any violations could result in a block. Be funny, not a dick.
  • Your participation here can not exceed 1% of your regular daily edits.[Who?]
  • You must agree to never revert to re-add any comment that has been removed by any administrator (or the nominated user) for any reason.

Criteria for editor deletion

If you get past the instruction creep and understand the deletion process, consult the Criteria for editor deletion and the instructions below on how to list editors for deletion. Any debates which violate the above will be removed. Do not nominate anyone unless you are reasonably sure they will accept the nomination. If you are nominating someone you do not know well, please avoid embarrassing yourself and ask them if they will accept the nomination before nominating them. Further, no editor may be nominated more than once.

Instructions

To list a candidate, put his or her name in a level three category below, and leave {{subst:User:GlassCobra/Editor for deletion/Talk Notice}} on the editor's talk page. When ever you feel like it, close the debate placing {{subst:User:GlassCobra/Editor for deletion/top}} at the top and {{subst:User:GlassCobra/Editor for deletion/bottom}} at the bottom.

Nominees

Any editor nominated who finds it amusing and wishes to participate may add {{subst:User:GlassCobra/Editor for deletion/Nom}} to their userpage. Do not place this template on the userpage of another editor, even if you nominated them — they can do it themselves, if they so desire. Any editor who does not wish to participate may remove their nomination from this page at any time and list themselves on the opt out list.

Non-notable user. Self-nom. Suggest WP:CSD. Kayau Voting IS evil 02:42, 28 March 2010 (UTC)

A long block.
  • Keep. 52,000 Google hits prove notability without a shadow of doubt, and show that the nominator is on a deletionist crusade against themself. Also, the nomination statement is an egregious self attack worthy of a long block (pictured). Jafeluv (talk) 21:38, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
  • Lego with a long block. Or maybe one of the thin bits that always get stuck on the other ones... GlassCobra 15:28, 13 May 2010 (UTC)

Recently passed in hell and with a remarkably calm approach. Refuses to reveal true identity, and thus I suspect this editor is actually a rogue adminbot. Suggest deletion and oversight of existence. Regards, --—Cyclonenim | Chat  17:47, 22 January 2010 (UTC)

I'm all about transparency, so oppose oversight. Not sure how I feel yet about deletion, will consider carefully. On a procedural note, shouldn't you have at least waited until I placed myself in Category:Wikipedia administrators open to deletion? --Floquenbeam (talk) 18:05, 22 January 2010 (UTC)
Nope, you don't need either to be an admin or open to recall to be listed here. ϢereSpielChequers 22:46, 23 January 2010 (UTC)

Protactinium-231 (now called 4)

Self nom. A non-notable radioisotope of an obscure element on the periodic table that doesn't have it's own article on Wikipedia and only has 13,600 Google hits anyway. Delete. 23191Pa (chat me!) 08:32, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

Supah delete! Nobody cares about science. — The Earwig @ 16:31, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
  • According to a well known encyclopaedia "Due to its scarcity, high radioactivity, and high toxicity, there are currently no uses for protactinium outside of scientific research." So I'm not sure whether to conserve this editor due to scarcity or delete due to toxicity. However it is superconductive below 1.4k - so I suggest freeze in liquid Helium and use to make servers based on superconductor technology. ϢereSpielChequers 20:47, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
Delete. Will die in about 32760 years anyway, so kill him earlier and it won't make any difference. 23191Pa (chat me!) 08:32, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
Not fair. I only have a few hours to live. 23491Pa (chat me!) 08:32, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

Rename to macguffinite; using "unobtanium" on the big screen is just bad. --A More Perfect Onion (talk) 15:36, 21 December 2009 (UTC)

Admin has come to my user page and :O OMG stolen mah commas[1], forcing me to protect them[2]. This is unacceptable behavior, and shows that he is probably a sock of Jimbo Wales. Therefore he must be deleted at once! --Coffee // have a cup // ark // 02:32, 11 October 2009 (UTC)
