Romina Johnson

Romina Johnson (13th December 1973) is a London-based R&B, soul and garage singer. She is perhaps best known in the UK for providing the lead vocals for the song "Movin' Too Fast",remix by the Artful Dodger a number 2 hit in early 2000. Romina, was born in Rome, Italy into a musical family. She grew up listening primarily all music and her ever first live working experience was at the young age of 12 touring with her father Wess Johnson- who was a very successful musician and recording artiste.

In 1999, Romina moved from Rome to London. Throughout the following years Romina toured with Artiste such as the “Spice Girls, Mel C, Mike Francis, US3, Odyssey, Mika, John Grant, Shed Seven, Guy Sebastian, Alexander O’ NEAL, Kenny Thomas, Dexter Wansel, Jamiroquai, etc..” while continuing to release her own solo material.


After having released 4 studio albums and a long list of singles ranging from R&B/Soul to Dance/garage music .Romina is considered to be a top rated vocalist with over 350 thousand monthly listeners on Spotify… Romina has also appeared on “Top of The Pops”,“Cd Uk, “Top of the Pops live in Sheffield “….


Life and career

Johnson was born in Rome to an American father, the musician Wesley Johnson, and an Italian mother.[1] Her singing debut was in 1994, for the Italian TV show Non è la RAI. Johnson is the featured vocalist on the 2000 hit single "Movin' Too Fast", with the Artful Dodger.[2] Later that year, she appeared on the UK Singles Chart for the second time with "My Forbidden Lover", featuring Luci Martin and Norma Jean of Chic.[3] On the 24 October 2011 broadcast of the BBC panel show Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Johnson appeared in the Identity Parade round.[citation needed] Since January 2013, she has been singing with the '70s and '80s disco outfit Odyssey.[citation needed]
