The search of the Renewals for Periodicals for 1975, 1976 and 1977 show no renewal entries for Radio Electronics. Gernsback Publications owned Radio Electronics in 1949 and in 1976.

The copyrights for Radio Electronics are held by Poptronix Inc. The copyright holder indicated that Gernsback Publications did not renew the copyrights of pre 1964 issues. A search of the copyright records confirms this.

The copyright on the magazine was not renewed and it is in the public domain.
