Belkacem Aissani (بلقاسم عيساني) (born April 2, 1965) is an Algerian academic, writer, literary critic, and translator. Renowned for his contributions to narrative theory, intertextual studies, and contemporary critical thought, his work has significantly influenced academic and literary discourse throughout the Arab world. He received the Katara Book Award in the Category of Critical Studies and Research for his book "الفكر الروائي" (Narrative Thought).

Belkacem Aissani was born on April 2, 1965, in Blida, Algeria. He pursued higher education at the University of Algiers, where he earned a Ph.D. in Sciences with a specialization in criticism, aesthetics, and philosophical thought. During his doctoral studies, he also attended Sorbonne 4 in Paris for a specialization in intertextual studies. These academic experiences laid the foundation for his innovative approach to analyzing the intersections between literature and philosophy.
