Early Life and Career
Andreka Josephine Jasek was born in Fort Myers, Florida to Polish immigrant parents who moved to the United States during the Solidarity movement. When Jasek was an infant, her family relocated to Seattle, where she was raised in Park Lake Homes public housing by her mother. From an early age, Jasek showed a keen interest in music, learning to play piano in third grade and developing a distinctive style influenced by 1980s rock and 1990s hip-hop. Jasek's early exposure to music came from school choir and her brother's interest in mental music,[2] and by 14, she had already started performing in coffee shops and other venues.
Jasek attended John Marshall Alternative High School in Seattle while performing 2-3 times per week with her band Liquor Box.[3] During this time, she obtained experience opening for national acts such as Faster Pussycat, LA Guns, Quiet Riot, Buckcherry, and Coolio further developing her signature sound.
Jasek's music career began in 1998 with her middle school band Leverage. In her freshman year of high school, she formed Liquor Box and later Homewrecker. In 2008, Jasek joined William Perry Moore III in Veritas, where they toured extensively and performed at notable events such as CMJ. In 2011 the two formed The Adarna. In December 2015, The Adarna went overseas to entertain the US troops stationed in Africa, the Middle East, and Southwest Asia which was sponsored by Armed Forces Entertainment. In 2017 The Adarna performed at Rocklahoma alongside headliners Red Sun Rising, Fuel, Zakk Wylde, and Stone Sour. In May 2018, they appeared at Brat Fest alongside Winger, Voodoo Fix, Shallow Side, and Bobaflex.
In March 2019, it was officially announced The Adarna would be joining Hinder for the Lucky 7 Tour alongside dates with Saving Abel, and American Sin.[4]
In 2021, Jasek left The Adarna and formed the synth-rock band The NightCry.[5]
