In Search of the Fourth Chord ist das 2007 veröffentlichte 28. Studioalbum der britischen Rockband Status Quo.

Hintergrund

Das Album wurde den ARSIS Studios, Surrey, und den Hear No Evil Studios, London, aufgenommen und enthält 13 neue Songs. Erstmals seit dem Album Don’t Stop von 1996 kehrte Produzent Pip Williams zurück.[1] Der Albumtitel ist eine Anspielung auf In Search of the Lost Chord von The Moody Blues aus dem Jahr 1968 und ironisiert zugleich ein gängiges Gerücht, die Band würde pro Song nur drei Akkorde verwenden. Das Albumcover referenziert zudem den Indiana-Jones-Film Jäger des verlorenen Schatzes, im Original Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Als Single wurde Beginning of the End veröffentlicht.
