Christos Ioannides ((Greek: Χρήστος Ιωαννίδης; born 24 January 1995), known by the stage name Yung Light, also known as Light or Nero Greco, is a Greek trapper, member and owner of Capital Music.

Biography

He was born on 24 January 1995 in Sykies Thessaloniki. He was born to a Greek father and Kenyan mother.[1]

In June 2022 his fourth album Romeo was released by Panik Records and Capital Music KRBBC. The album included collaborations with Mad Clip, FY, Trannos, Stan, and Melisses. "24hrs" and "Obsessed" were his most popular songs, with over 18 million views and 13 million streams on Spotify.[2]

Arrest

In December 2021, he was arrested by the police and was charged with illegal gun ownership and possession, and with possessing illegal drugs.[3]

2022 Mad Video Music Awards

During the awarding ceremony Mad Video Music Awards on 22 June 2022, Light was in a fight with SNIK due to an argument, while the musician Tamta was on stage, which led to a protest that started a few minutes later.[4] This was opposed by Mad Video Music Awards[5] and by Mega Channel, which announced that it was not going to play its songs.[6]
