Hi, my name is Nel. I'm a 29 year old Appalachian, and I had the privilege to grow up neglected and running around in the woods all day.
I have a Bachelor's of Arts in English, with a concentration in Technical and Science Writing. I almost have a Bachelor's of Science in Wildlife and Fisheries Management Science, and only did not complete this degree due to an intermittent physical disability getting worse. It has instead become my minor.
I still have a deep and abiding interest in conservation, rewilding, human-wildlife conflict, and large carnivores. I'm also interested in disability rights, the history of mental illness, LGBT+ history, and science communication. |
