Salo (instrument)


The salo, saw lo, or salaw (Thai: สะล้อ) is a Thai spike fiddle with three strings (strung on 2-pegs), native to the Lanna cultural region of northern Thailand.
Strung today with 3 wires for strings, but formerly had silk strings.[1]
