Introduction
Grace Bowers (born July 30, 2006) is an American Musician currently residing in Nashville, TN an 18 year old, award-winning guitarist, songwriter and bandleader who is undisputedly on a meteoric rise with buzz reaching fever pitch. She is a co-founder of the band Grace Bowers & The Hodge Podge for which she is the lead guitarist, contributing songwriter, and band leader. She earned Americana Music Association's “Instrumentalist of the Year” award. She has collaborated with Dolly Parton, played live on CBS' New Year's Eve Live and played live with Coldplay's Chris Martin on the 2025 Grammys. Bowers made her late-night television debut on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” was featured on “CBS Mornings” and NPR’s “All Things Considered,” performed in NYC with The Roots in support of Why Hunger and in January, Grace joined The Grateful Dead’s Bob Weir at his Dead Ahead Fest in Mexico for five nights of curated collaborations celebrating the Grateful Dead songbook. She has headlined shows in Japan and New York City, as well as at prominent festivals such as Bourbon & Beyond, Telluride and Bottlerock and Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival.
Grace performed as part of the “Men’s Final Four Tip-Off Tailgate Presented by Nissan” and been sought after by everyone from Devon Allman to Tyler Childers and Susan Tedeshi to Kingfish. Of her 2023 Newport Folk Festival debut, Rolling Stone declared, “Her 20-minute performance gave the distinct sense that everyone lucky enough to have attended was witnessing a star in the making,” while The Tennessean called her “a 17 year old Blues guitar prodigy,” with a “heart as big as her talent is vast.”

- Bowers started playing guitar at age nine after watching a YouTube video of Slash from Guns N' Roses. She also discovered B. B. King on satellite radio. Grace has been influenced by rock and blues legends like Buddy Miles as well as funk artists like Sly and the Family Stone

- During the COVID pandemic, Grace would perform live sessions on social media platform Reddit often from her bedroom or while sitting on the roof of her house. These performances created a following of fans that propelled her to near instant stardom.

Bowers' band, Grace Bowers & The Hodge Podge, released their debut album Wine On Venus in 2023 produced by John Osborne of The Brothers Osborne. The album, featuring the track "Madame President," explores social issues like gender equality and economic challenges, with Bowers drawing inspiration from her own experiences as a young independent artist. A key theme in her music is the emotional depth of blues, a genre she believes communicates profound human feelings such as loss, yearning, and desire.

Despite being frequently labeled a prodigy, Bowers emphasizes her dedication to continuous growth and practice, aiming to forge her own path in the music industry.
In the summer of 2024, Bowers also joined artists such as Slash and Brothers Osborne on the road, performed alongside Billy Idol at the Fired Up For Summer benefit concert and raised $30,000 with her 2nd Annual “Grace Bowers & Friends: An Evening Supporting Love, Life & Music” benefit show, $15,000 of which was donated to MusiCares®.
