Council on Foundations
The Council on Foundations, founded in 1949, is a nonprofit leadership association of grant-making foundations and corporations. The council's mission is to provide the opportunities, leadership, and tools for philanthropic organizations to expand, enhance, and sustain their ability to advance the common good.[1] Its vision is to be a strategic leader that raises issues of shared interest, expands thinking in the field, builds collaborative efforts, and removes barriers to effective and dynamic philanthropy.[1]
The council is led by Kathleen P. Enright, who serves as its president and CEO, and Jay Williams, who is the chairman of the board of directors.[2][3]
