American college football season
The 2016 Alabama State Hornets football team represented Alabama State University as a member of the East Division of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) during 2016 NCAA Division I FCS football season. Led by second-year head coach Brian Jenkins, the Hornets compiled an overall record of 4–7 with a mark of 3–6 in conference play, tying for third place in the SWAC East Division.
