He pursued his education at SMKA Kota Kinabalu (SMAKK) and was a founding member of the SMKA Kota Kinabalu Alumni Association (ASMAKK) in 2019.[2] He then continued his studies at Kolej Islam Sultan Alam Shah (KISAS).[3]

Activism and Community Engagement
Sungai Damit Rm17 Million Crooked Bridge
Zid gained significant public attention for exposing the structural flaws in the Sungai Damit RM17 Million Crooked Bridge or Jambatan Bengkok RM17 Juta Sungai Damit in Tuaran, which was built with an allocation of RM17 million. He highlighted visible defects, including bending deck H beams, and raised concerns about the mismanagement of public funds.[5][6]
His findings, which he shared on TikTok, went viral, garnering over 1.3 million views and sparking a public outcry. In response, the bridge was closed, and an additional RM30 million was allocated to dismantle and construct a new one, with a grand total of RM47 Million just for 1 bridge.[7]
Zid has done several critical calculations and structure analysis to the bent bridge including comparation with other bridges, including Finite Element Module (FEM) analysis found out that the bridge has another possible weak spot at the end portals (entry and exit) of the bridge arches. The bridge if collapses, could happen in less than 4 seconds. Making a hazard to all users of the bridge.[8]
Tadhamun ASMAKK 2020
Zid Aliasgar played a role in launching the Tadhamun ASMAKK 2020 initiative, initiated by the Sekolah Menengah Agama Kota Kinabalu (ASMAKK) alumni association, a special fund aimed at purchasing medical equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) for healthcare workers in Sabah, particularly those at Likas Hospital, during the COVID-19 pandemic. The goal was to raise RM30,000 within two weeks to support the frontline workers.[9]
Zid Aliasgar played a key role in raising funds to support vulnerable communities under MCO 200 Days Emergency Help Program by providing essential goods like food, pampers, milk for babies, medicine, and financial aid to those who were struggling due to the lockdown. This includes personal protective equipment (PPE), for healthcare workers, ensuring that they were well-equipped during the pandemic.[10]
Political career
Zid Aliasgar is an active member of Parti Warisan and serves as the Secretary of the P170 Tuaran Division since 2021.[11][12] He has been involved in advocating for anti-corruption policies and transparency in state-level development projects and has worked closely with Shafie Apdal, the President of Parti Warisan, via the party in addressing governance issues in Sabah.[13]
Publications
Zid is the author of Ketuanan Semenanjung & Pengkaburan MA63, book written and published in 2024.[14] A book from an academic research study conducted by zid involving more than 100 respondents.[15] Discussing the current situation of the implementation of the Sabahan people rights in the Constitution of Malaysia and Malaysia Agreement (MA63) and how it could be fully implemented. It also discusses how MA63 has been obstructed from Sabahans for years since 1963. Among its findings is, "UNITY is key to make sure MA63 will be fully implemented".[16]
