Yoshikazu Shirakawa

Yoshikazu Shirakawa (白川 義員, Shirakawa Yoshikazu, 1935 – April 5, 2022)[1] was a Japanese photographer.[2]

Shirakawa was born in Shikokuchuo City, Ehime Prefecture. As a prolific photographer, on a span of 50 years he created 12 photoseries in different parts of the world, from China to Antarctica.[3] Shirakawa is particularly well known for his book Himalayas, published by Harry N. Abrams in 1971.[4]
