Infoboxes of US Senators & US Representatives

Looking at the bios of US Senators & US Representatives. In the infobox, wouldn't it be best to have their roles as a US Senator and/or US Representative mentioned at the top? For example, you gotta scroll down Amy Klobuchar's infobox quite a bit, to see she's a US Senator from Minnesota. GoodDay (talk) 16:41, 24 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, that's the most significant position, while being a committee chair or in party leadership is subsidiary to that. Strict chronological order need not be followed for all roles when some are only held while serving as another, and the most recent top-level position should be on top. Her chairmanship of the steering committee is also listed twice and those should be combined. Reywas92Talk 18:42, 24 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Reliable sources for US political articles

There is a discussion regarding reliable sources for US political articles at WT:RS#This is curious... --Magnolia677 (talk) 14:29, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yet another new RFC (sorry)

There is another RFC up at Talk:List of political parties in the United States.. The question being asked is whether or not the article should be shortened by removing potentially unnecessary information.

This is not an RFC created by me; it was created by another user. I am linking it here so that you guys are aware of it. RiverMan18 (talk) 17:03, 4 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Numbering in bios of US cabinet members

Would anyone object, if numberings (like 70th US attorney general) were removed from the intros of US cabinet members? GoodDay (talk) 04:02, 9 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I would not object. Including the numbering in leads seems unnecessary and potentially unsourced. What does it tell the average reader anyway? If including anything, the years served would seem to be far more useful. – notwally (talk) 00:29, 10 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
