Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Architecture
This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related to Architecture, buildings, construction, city planning and public spaces. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.
- Adding a new AfD discussion
- Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
- and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
- You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Architecture|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
- There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
- Removing a closed AfD discussion
- Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
- Other types of discussions
- You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Architecture, buildings, construction, city planning and public spaces. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.

- Delete per WP:NOTDIR and WP:TRIVIA. All cited sources are either to the company or to a historic archive that gives the geo-coordinates. None of the individual listings is notable. WeirdNAnnoyed (talk) 13:40, 26 December 2024 (UTC)

- Delete per WP:NOTDIR. None of the pubs listed have articles and sources are questionable. Procyon117 (talk) 15:52, 26 December 2024 (UTC)
- Delete as Wikipedia isn't a directory and none of these pubs have articles. History6042😊 (Contact me) 15:56, 26 December 2024 (UTC)
- Delete NOTDIR; Outside the most generic person, nobody looking for a night out at a pub is looking to consult a list of corporate and generic pubs with the same sterile menu and ambiance; this list would be equivalent to a List of Buffalo Wild Wings in New Jersey article. - Fujitsu Tower (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)

Trivial coverage in two of the source (only mention Fujitsu Tower in one sentence). The source that is used the most is routine coverage of its sale. And that source is oneroof which isn't a particularly good source. I can not find any good sources online. ―Panamitsu (talk) 01:58, 21 December 2024 (UTC)

- The building was originally called the Caltex Tower, so there may be more sources using that name, especially in regards to the design, construction and early history of the building. I'll try and look into this after Christmas when I have more time. Paora (talk) 20:54, 22 December 2024 (UTC)
- Delete the main source provided is just an advertisement for the real estate listing. Traumnovelle (talk) 02:28, 24 December 2024 (UTC)
- Driftwood fort (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)
- (Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL)
Not notable. Half the article is a list of individual forts with no lasting significance. ―Panamitsu (talk) 02:10, 21 December 2024 (UTC)

- Delete. I always thought it was non-notable. Now that Panamitsu has come to that view too, I am happy to support deletion. Nurg (talk) 07:18, 21 December 2024 (UTC)
- Weak keep. This article is a mess (why is it only composed of references to driftwood forts in the news?) but WP:DELETIONISNOTCLEANUP. There's significant coverage of the subject in books like James Herman's Driftwood Forts of the Oregon Coast and Nancy Blakey's By the Shore (pp. 199-200). They are also key elements in fiction, such as this Allyson Gulliver story and the movie Far from Home (see here). Failing a consensus to keep this as a standalone article, any encyclopedic content should be merged to Driftwood#Forts. Dclemens1971 (talk) 14:36, 23 December 2024 (UTC)
