- Evidence
User:Belginusanl was blocked indefinitely from Wikipedia and from Wikimedia Commons on 30th September 2006 for posting identifying pictures of minors. These were deleted from Commons. However, the following edits indicate he has returned. In particular, he
- Frequently alters of image captions to include the words "little girl" or "child":
- Compare this edit and this edit by User:Belginusanl with this edit by User:USANational
- Has a preoccupation with a particular child, and reveals identifying information about this child:
- Compare this edit by User:Belginusanl with this edit by User:CanadaNational
- This same child is the subject of the Studearring.JPG image mentioned below...
- Develops a preoccupation with one image (such as image:Studearring.JPG, uploaded by User:Nina90) and inserts it in multiple pages (such as skin, jewellry, body piercing, etc., etc.):
- Compare this edit by User:USANational with this edit by User:CanadaNational, and this edit by User:Nina90.
- In fact, it doesn't stop at the English Wikipedia: Wikimedia usage data indicates that the image is present on 24 pages in 14 Wikimedia projects. Almost all of these instances have been placed by 24.192.149.137, who has also been blocked repeatedly on English Wikipedia, and edits the same articles as User:Belginusanl, User:Nina90, and User:USANational (namely, Child, Earlobe, Body piercing, etc.). While the multiple postings of the image isn't a problem in itself, it does indicate the links between the suspected sockpuppets.
- The above edits also closely follow the pattern of User:Belginusanl, who in one week posted one image to over a dozen articles on the English Wikipedia alone (namely, Girl, Sibling, Female, Human, Puberty, White people, Adolescence, Demographics of Europe, Sex differences, Ethnic group, Human bonding, Friendship, Caucasian race, etc.)
- Comments
- This user frequently posts disruptive (and given his focus on children, unsettling) edits on Wikipedia (both English and Dutch) and Wikimedia Commons. The similarity of edits and usernames indicates sockpuppetry at work. - Gobeirne 01:12, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Note: I also suspect a possible link to User:Jessica93, but can't be sure. - Gobeirne 02:08, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Conclusions
Based on the obvious sockpuppetry (and the very disturbing habit of identifying a child's picture by name), both socks which were not yet blocked have been blocked indefinitely. Seraphimblade Talk to me 09:26, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
