Complex hoax. The puppetmaster behind this has been spamming information related to "Dong Hyun Choi" on all sorts of internet boards [1][2][3][4], or adding an irrelevant tag "Pfc Dong Hyun Choi" to a Soldier of Fortune article which never mentions this guy [5], obviously trying to lay the groundwork for his hoax and make it seem like there's interest in and legitimacy behind this case. Now he has brought his game to Wikipedia. After from the minor vote-stacking at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dong Hyun Choi (Yoland83+Columbinica), 3g8xG7x0 showed up to repost the deleted material at Dong hyun choi, and then HellHeaven, Mini69ka, INUBNK, and 135.196.45.243 immediately showed up to edit the article and to spam the material across legitimate articles about South Koreans in Europe with North Korean connections like Song Du-yul, Jean-Baptiste Kim (created by 3g8x67x0 but actually verifiable). Kun Myeon showed up to edit Jean-Baptiste Kim and Song Du-yul a few hours later. cab (talk) 00:49, 28 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

More attempts [6] at inserting poorly referenced material implying that some South Korean guy in Europe is a North Korean spy, obvious WP:BLP violation. (See this AfD for more background). Puppetmaster is not blocked but was previously warned that he would be if he used any more accounts abusively. The article in question, Jean-Baptiste Kim, used to be frequently edited by the puppetmaster's sockpuppets. cab (talk) 18:10, 5 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
