[2] Mostly concentrating on Gregory Parkes, a newly appointed Catholic bishop, but also on Keith Ellison [3] Evades edit filters. (Surely a candidate for RevDel.) Misleading edit summaries claiming to revert vandalism. More on Gregory Parkes. Removed my report at AIV with a misleading summary. All users already blocked, and understanding the usual caveats about CheckUser not revealing correlations to IP addresses, it might be best to check for sleepers. All of these accounts and the IP are connected most definitely based on behavior. They all posted death threats on my user talk page, now suppressed. The behavior seems to be consistent with this user. CU has confirmed the account connections, but there is no confirmation with the master. I've never filed an SPI before, so bear with me if I got something wrong here. After this discussion at AN, Howie Schwab was put under extended confirmed protection. Socks of Jaredgk2008 had targeted it with ridiculous BLP violations: [4], [5], [6]. Some of these accounts are tagged as socks of StevenJoarenson, who is tagged himself as a sock of Jaredgk2008. ESS, an extended confirmed user, just made a similar ridiculous BLP violation: [7]. The same BLP vandalism to the same Jaredgk2008 targets. Everyone past MyraHodgskins is stale, so I guess there would be no way of confirming whether of not they are socks, but if you're familiar with this sockmaster, you know that it's him. Could probably simply block them as vandalism only accounts either way. These older accounts actually have the potential to cause more damage, because the old stale sock accounts are the ones Jaredgk2008 uses to bypass ECP or semi-protection. Adding the same vandalism and blatant BLP violations to the same exact articles (Larry Sanger, Jimmy Wales, Lord Alfred Hayes, and others) over the last month. Other accounts listed are connected from edits made from articles that the other listed socks have edited from and within the same time period (Emily Gould and Noah Bastian). Many of the recent sock creations have also performed the same behavior prior to engaging in the disruptive edits, which is to create and expand their user sandbox pages in order to reach the number of edits required to be given the autoconfirmed account flag (the articles being disrupted are semi protected). All accounts listed are indefinitely blocked individually as VOA accounts, which makes me believe that an SPI hasn't been filed regarding this event. Creating an SPI to document my findings and for record-keeping. Will leave to the SPI clerk to review (an admin clerk will be needed, as most of the edits considered evidence have been rev del'd). ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 03:31, 17 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Then I found Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Jaredgk2008, which highlights past edits similar to those edits.
