Mykungfu (5th)

Maxman23 made a page relating to Kappa Alpha Psi, which was Yo yo yo. You can see my user history for my AfD calling for the page to be deleted here. Then, Maxman23 copied my page. I added DGADO77, because he may be a sockpuppet as well. Real96 07:37, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mykungfu

The usual drill, vandalism to Alpha Phi Alpha and related articles, as well as today's hilarious CU request against Real96 by Superstroke. Mykungfu himself hasn't edited here in months, so the IPs may not match him, but it certainly looks like the last five users above are all the same person. At this moment, all five suspected socks are blocked to prevent further disruption. | Mr. Darcy talk 17:14, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Clerk note: Semi-protecting this request. Unusual editing by brand new accounts, see Special:Contributions/Pluv5 and Special:Contributions/Choraseptic. – Luna Santin (talk) 19:32, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, both are probably MKF socks as well. | Mr. Darcy talk 20:00, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Note: added one user (User:FrozenApe), not currently blocked but a very likely sock based on contribs. | Mr. Darcy talk 00:30, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Added User:CuteAsianGuyDoug Bell talk 01:52, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Confirmed except for IPs which we can't comment on per the privacy policy. Please note that the checkuser evidence is a little thin on a couple of cases but considering the totality of the evidence (including, particularly, the nature of the users' contributions), I consider these all confirmed. I also blocked a number of accounts not listed. The Uninvited Co., Inc. 19:32, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mykungfu

More of the same behavior from everyone's favorite fraternity-article vandal. MrDouglass showed up less than a day after a POV fork from Alpha Phi Alpha was speedied under G4 and re-created the article. Vkmayes has made just one edit, heading right for a talk page and asking for the exact content that Mykungfu has tended to add to these articles. AfricanAmericanHistorian uses a similar writing style to Mykungfu's and has gone after similar articles. Mykungfu and all of his/her socks have always used AOL IPs, so I understand the best I can get is a Possible response, but I'd prefer to have even that circumstantial evidence in hand before blocking. | Mr. Darcy talk 00:52, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Can we tack one more on? Real96 (talk ·  · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · CA · CheckUser(log· investigate · cuwiki). Mykungfu (via an anon account) just "warned" that user, just as he warned himself on several of his other sock pages. Thanks. | Mr. Darcy talk 01:15, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Small point of evidence: Real96 ([1]) and Mykungfu (link) both misspell "definitely" as "definately." | Mr. Darcy talk 01:22, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
This edit (visible only to admins, as I deleted it entirely) would seem to indicate a connection here. | Mr. Darcy talk 01:43, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
IPs used by Mykungfu in the last 24 hours include 64.131.205.239 (talk ·  · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · CA · CheckUser(log· investigate · cuwiki), 207.200.122.113 (talk ·  · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · CA · CheckUser(log· investigate · cuwiki), and 172.194.78.174 (talk ·  · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · CA · CheckUser(log· investigate · cuwiki). Also just added User:SosoDef99, whose only contribs are to open an RfC against me in retaliation (I assume) for this checkuser and my blocks of various MKF socks. | Mr. Darcy talk 14:43, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Inconclusive -- no obvious relationship for the two new ones or the two IPs. --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 16:17, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Great, thanks! | Mr. Darcy talk 16:43, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mykungfu

Mykungfu is indef-blocked for general disruption, including massive edit-warring and 3RR violations via AOL IPs. Two primary offenses were repeatedly removing properly cited content from articles because he didn't like the source, and trying to use policies like WP:3RR and WP:SOCK to file false claims against other users (mostly me by the end). GrandWizard appears to be his latest incarnation, as he showed up the day Mykungfu's two most recent socks were indef-blocked and headed right for the talk page of a recently semi-protected article that Mykungfu had been vandalizing, showing a similar editing style albeit not quite the same disruptive nature (yet). I'm asking for the checkuser because this may be a blocked user evading his block. So far, I have no issue with his behavior, and we've had a good discussion on Talk:Sigma Pi Phi.

GrandWizard's name (that's the title of the head of the Ku Klux Klan, a white supremacist organization in the US) does dovetail with Mykungfu's use of some racially charged language (telling Bearly451 to eat fried chicken or use of the word Negro).

Sb213 (talk · contribs · count · logs · page moves · block log) and ManOfTke (talk · contribs · count · logs · page moves · block log) appeared to be Mykungfu socks and were indef-blocked in short order diff. GrandWizard and Sb213 have similar contribution patterns (such as edits to Allen Coage [2] and [3]; and a shared interest in martial arts). The writing patterns of all four users are similar as well, with lots of white space, run-on sentences, incorrect indentation (GrandWizard [4], [5], [6]), Sb213 ([7]), ManOfTke ([8], [9], [10]), and Mykungfu (via AOL IP).

This is my first RFCU, so I'd appreciate any guidance on what else you might need. I filed this at the suggestion of Pschemp (see details here). | Mr. Darcy talk 20:45, 9 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Basically, user:GrandWizard is hitting the same articles that MyKungfu and his other obvious socks have, and exhibits much of the same behaviour but since he hasn't been quite as outrageous and obvious, I suggested a checkuser be run. pschemp | talk 21:20, 9 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Possible, everyone's on AOL. You're just going to have to ge an admin to make a judgment call based on the behavior. Dmcdevit·t 08:12, 10 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, that's helpful. | Mr. Darcy talk 16:29, 10 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mykungfu

User Mykungfu (formerly NinjaNubian (talk • contribs • count) before he lost his password) has been making sockpuppet allegations against several of the other editors at Alpha Kappa Nu (see User:Robotam for example). While editors can certainly edit anonymously, this particular IP seems to imply that he's not Mykungfu and is supporting Mykungfu's comments both on the talk page for Alpha Kappa Nu as well as on Robotam's talk page (Robotam had marked the ip's signature as Mykungfu, and the ip reverted it). Specific policy violations are harassment (replacing sock notices without proof and warning with vandalism templates when the notices are removed), and editing other user's talkpage comments. Ok, thanks. Syrthiss 16:00, 20 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Mykungfu is still be editing under anon IPs, such as 149.68.16.97, even though he has been blocked by admin.[11][12][13] — Preceding unsigned comment added by Robotam (talk • contribs)
Checkuser only officially confirms the IP addresses used by registered users under extreme or unusual circumstances. If there is sufficient similarity of contributions, you can deal with him without technical confirmation. Thatcher131 20:55, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
so "declined doesn't mean the same as "cleared?" thanks for the clarification. this one is pretty blatant. -Robotam 13:52, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
Correct. Declined means the check wasn't run, because we will (almost) never reveal the IP address of an editor. Thatcher131 14:06, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
thank you. I hope this will end the harrassing behavior i have been a victim of. Mykungfu 22:07, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
