Curtis23 (talk · contribs) – Hello, I am Curtis23. I have been on Wikipedia for almost 2 years now and have made over 2,000 edits. I am part of the Adopt-A-User program and am a part of 5 WikiProjects which are Pro Wrestling, Tropical Cyclones, Ice Hockey, Nickelodean and Disney. But most recently I have been working on the Tropical Cyclones and Ice Hockey projects. I am hoping that once I become an admin I can do more to help Wikipedia. Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia as an administrator. Please answer these questions to provide guidance for participants:

1. What administrative work do you intend to take part in?

A: I intend to take part in many works. I intend to stop vandalism, I will help resolve edit wars and other things along those lines. That is not all I intend to do. I will try to help other users along on the journey through Wikipedia, I will work with WP:AFD, etc.

2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?

A: I think my best contributions to Wikipedia have been when I work with Ice Hockey and Tropical Cyclones and in the past Pro Wrestling. Such as when I helped with recent news with TCs and when I added stats and such to the Carolina Hurricanes' Stanley cup seasons. I have done a lot more with these projects and I hope to be able to be even more of a help when I become an administrator.

3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?

A: Yes. I have been in conflicts in editing before, but not recently only when I first started. It was back in August 2009. I was in this conflict with the article Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder. But after what happened with that I completely changed and I have never had an issure after that. But in the future if anything like that happens I'll put a stop to it right away like I've been doing.

1. I'm sorry but you've done way too little editing the last months [1]. With that little edits (especially to the "admin areas") it's not possible to judge if you would be a good administrator. I'm afraid you need some more experience. Theleftorium ^(talk) 11:37, 18 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

3. Oppose Sorry, but you are asking us to waste our time. This isn't your first RfA, it is your third, so you should know by now that it is extremely unusual to support an editor for admin with under 5,000 edits, and most of those situations have extraordinary circumstances. 2,000 edits isn't close to enough to have the breadth of experience needed.--SPhilbrickT 12:31, 18 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

4. (edit conflict)Oppose Based on your answers, I really do not think you have the experience required for the admin tools. I also noticed that you only used edit summaries in about half of your major edits. It is exceedingly important for editors to communicate their changes when they make them. I also noticed that you participated in the adopt a user program. I don't know if I am missing something, but AJona1992 complained that you left him and even left this edit begging for help. You also adopted Theoneinblue; however, I have seen no messages left on his page by you, and messages from him on your page have been left unreplied. You state that you would like to work with AFD, but I see no experience in the subject. Do some vandal fighting and AFD work without the admin tools so you can gain experience. 5. You've basically been gone for over half a year, and just came back to WP. Far too soon to be launching an RFA, as you haven't shown you're knowledgeable about current practice: and as you've been here twice before, you should have known this would be problematic. 6. Oppose - I really want to see recent experience to evaluate how you handle different situations. Less than 100 edits in the last 9 months is not enough. Stay active and listen to the other opposers on their comments, then come back in 6+ months. GB fan (talk) 13:08, 18 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
