• Comment it is indeed an alternative spelling, still seen occasionally in print even in recent years [2]. Pretty much any name of a Korean person from the pre-modern era will have been printed in a bewildering variety of English spellings over the years, as there were too many official romanisation systems and most Korean authors writing in English just ignored them all and used ad hoc spellings until recently. (That also means that in general, it's impractical and unsightly for every target article to list all the possible alternative spellings).

In any case, this particular spelling and its connection to the admiral is discussed with sources at Korean Broadcasting System#2013 – Lee Soon-shin naming scandal. I am not sure whether it is better to keep it pointing to the current target, retarget it to You Are The Best! as {{R from character}}, or even retarget it to the section of the Korea Broadcasting System Article which explains the two uses of the name.
