This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on August 7, 2009
Sniper Joe
- Sniper Joe → List of characters in the Mega Man series (links to redirect)
This is not covered within the target. TTN (talk) 21:03, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
- Delete as non notable MegaMan enemy.--ZXCVBNM (TALK) 00:41, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
That Guy Who Looks Like Vin Diesel
- That Guy Who Looks Like Vin Diesel → Vin Diesel (links to redirect)
Unlikely search term or link target; nothing called "That Guy Who Looks Like Vin Diesel" is mentioned in the article. Unscented (talk) 19:30, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
- Delete I lol'd at this one, but delete it. Unlikely search term, and WP:IDONTLIKEIT. GrooveDog (talk) 20:57, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
- Delete as the BEST REDIRECT EVER. Although I'll point out that its current target is the worst possible potion, given it clearly implies it's not looking for Vin Diesel himself. ~ Amory (user • talk • contribs) 00:12, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- Delete as ridiculous, but completely hilarious. [ mad pierrot ] 06:00, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
- Delete. That guy doesn't look like Vin Diesel at all! Also, pretty implausible search term for someone looking for Vin Diesel. Jafeluv (talk) 13:37, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
Self-Reglementation Code
- Self-Reglementation Code → Motion picture rating system#Italy (links to redirect)
Delete as it is not a proper term (redirect was created by an editor who is known for making odd wikilinks) and is only a phrase meant to describe how the system works (which I've since clarified in the main article. GraYoshi2x►talk 17:47, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
- Delete The redirect is just a romantic way of saying "Self-Regulatory Code" which, as the nominator said, describes a wide-reaching concept, and is by no means specific to movie ratings in Italy. It's just as applicable, if not more, to the USA's ESRB. ~ Amory (user • talk • contribs) 05:01, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- Alternatively, Redirect to Self-regulatory organization or Self-policing. ~ Amory (user • talk • contribs) 05:04, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- Delete for reasons above. Also worth noting that a Google search of this term only brings up Wikipedia and Wikipedia mirror sites, and that Boyhere (talk · contribs) has been blocked for sockpuppetry. -Sme3 (talk) 01:40, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
Master Core: ABIS
- Master Core: ABIS → List of recurring characters from Sonic the Hedgehog (games) (links to redirect)
There is no such character listed in the article. TTN (talk) 17:09, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
- Delete as made-up term...or something.--ZXCVBNM (TALK) 00:41, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
- Retarget Master Core:ABIS is the final (only?) boss in the game Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, and appears only in that game. Thus he is by definition not a "recurring character." However, seeing as he is a major character in that game, he does have his own subsection in that article, namely Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity#Master Core: ABIS, so I suggest we retarget there. ~ Amory (user • talk • contribs) 19:31, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
Sonic Heroes Robots
- Sonic Heroes Robots → List of recurring characters from Sonic the Hedgehog (games) (links to redirect)
This is a useless redirect. There is nothing that would cause someone to use this as a search term. TTN (talk) 17:02, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
- Delete-Not a plausible redirect.--ZXCVBNM (TALK) 00:42, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
- Delete This is redirect would be useful to someone looking for information on the robots from Sonic Heroes. I can see the argument for keeping this, actually - we don't have that info, so might as well redirect them to the next best place. Still, since this is essentially fancruft and, more importantly, our (appropriate, encyclopedic) organization system doesn't support this information being categorized this way, it's not liable to be incredibly helpful. ~ Amory (user • talk • contribs) 19:26, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
Ultimate e
- Ultimate e → List of recurring characters from Sonic the Hedgehog (games) (links to redirect)
This really isn't a plausible redirect as far as I can tell. The character doesn't go by that name. TTN (talk) 16:59, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
- Delete per TTN.--ZXCVBNM (TALK) 00:42, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
- Delete AFAICT, E-123 Omega says, at one point, that he is "the ultimate E-series." That's not a title by any stretch of the imagination. ~ Amory (user • talk • contribs) 19:22, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

Food bag
This odd (slang?) term isn't mentioned in the directed article. McGeddon (talk) 11:57, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
- Delete as neologism or made-up term.--ZXCVBNM (TALK) 00:43, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
Here's Johnny!
- Here's Johnny! → Ed McMahon (links to redirect)
Propose deletion of this redirect, as it is not solely related to Ed McMahon, but is also very well known as a phrase from The Shining (film). Though deletion is my preference, I would not be averse to a disambig page if that is the consensus Quantpole (talk) 09:12, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
- Retarget to the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, since it's where it originates, though it was originated by Ed McMahon, and it is the most prominent use (not The Shining) 76.66.193.221 (talk) 06:28, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
- Keep or retarget to Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. I could see it being to either of those articles although Tonight Show with Johnny Carson probably makes more sense. -- Banjeboi 20:18, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
- Comment. One of the most iconic film images ever ([1]), is the subject of this phrase. Particularly outside the US this may be a much more well known use of the phrase. Is there any particular reason to redirect to the Tonight Show over The Shining? Using the dreaded gsearch [2], appears to show just as much, if not more association of this phrase with the film. Quantpole (talk) 20:57, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
- I guess encyclopedically we should get it right, that's the show where the phrase came from and from where the shining aped it. Both articles should likely reference the other as they are both culturally significant to various communities and generations. -- Banjeboi 22:03, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
- Further comment. I hadn't realised that there is already a disambig page Here's Johnny. It doesn't make sense for the phrase without the '!' to be a disambig but with the '!' to be a redirect. I no longer think this needs deleting but once over I will redirect to the other page, unless there are major objections of course. Quantpole (talk) 08:00, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
- retarget to the disambiguation page Here's Johnny as per Quantpole. In my part of the world its use in The Shining is much better known, as Johnny Carson and Ed McMahon are barely known. PaulJones (talk) 09:41, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
Pelcain dropship
- Pelcain dropship → Halo (series) (links to redirect)
Unlikely typo for a redirect page. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 08:51, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
- Delete A redirect makes sense for the actual spelling when it redirects to the entire series, but a misspelling of the dropship is unlikely to be of much use to anyone, especially because the search tool will easily redirect any worse typos to the Pelican dropship redirect. The "i" is two characters over, making it unlikely as a plausible typo (although I guess technically it happened at least once). ~ Amory (user • talk • contribs) 05:12, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
Perfect model injection

- Perfect model Injection → Halo (series) (links to redirect)
Neologism, unlikely redirect. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 08:49, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
The above is preserved as the archive of a RfD nomination. Please do not modify it.Human Vehicles in Halo
- Human Vehicles in Halo → Halo (series) (links to redirect)
Extremely unlikely redirect page. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 08:47, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
The above is preserved as the archive of a RfD nomination. Please do not modify it.Dostun
- Dostun → Afghanistan (links to redirect)
A relatively new contributor has been making a series of redirects of redlinks to overly broad targets. I am concerned whether these redirects make sense. Right now only one wikipedia article links to "Dostun". The sentence that contains the link says: "Detainee fought the Northern Alliance in Dostun, Afghanistan." Since "Afghanistan" is the word that follows Dostun, making Dostun a redirect to Afghanistan certainly isn't useful, and is very likely to simply annoy any readers who click on it. I suggest this redirect should be deleted, as not useful, and likely to confuse. I wouldn't call it "patent nonsense", but I do think it is a redirect that does not make sense. Geo Swan (talk) 03:43, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
- Delete It's better to have this a redlink until there is an article on Dostun. --Apoc2400 (talk) 20:11, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
