This orphaned image represents one editor's opinion as to which countries are "the Arab world". This is obviously not a black-and-white issue, and different people have different opinions -- but this is different that what our Arab World article shows.         • Commons isn't just about Wikipedia, there are other projects out there, such as Wikiversity, where various interpretations of what is the Arab World can be presented with nice graphics, if these are available.           • Yeah, I know what Commons is, I've been on Commons since 2004. And I've contributed content to Wikibooks, Wikitravel, Wikisource, etc., and I don't know of any project that could use an unsourced map of countries that supposedly make up a region, in a way that seemingly doesn't agree with any article on any wikiproject. I think we would be keeping it just to keep it, even though it will never be used. Your argument seems to be "Someone might someday want it for something"... but with no supporting information about how the list was picked, and with existing inaccuracies that would have to be fixed before it can be used, and with so many good alternatives, I don't see the point. – Quadell ^(talk) 11:32, 1 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
