{{subst:Renameuser Sallydonal Gretchen |3 = Reason for requested renaming. }} 79.65.73.32 (talk)

Sorry Got confused. As I said before I would be in danger if my name was visible.

Clerk note: So you want your new name to be Gretchen? If so, user Gretchen already exists and has made about 100 edits, thus is probably not USURPABLE, but if you want that name, you need to A) log in and B) make a request at WP:USURP, you would probably be better served with another name, especially if you are looking for a quick change as USURP takes some time.---Balloonman PoppaBalloon 19:55, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This deserves inclusion → Includer

Not done The name Includer (talk · contribs) is already taken. Although User:Includer has no edits, the user set up the same name in 8 other projects here. You could try to usurp it - or you could come up with a different name that is similar. Kingturtle (talk) 15:00, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Either submit a request at WP:USURP for User:Omega or User:TheOmega (TheOmega has a better chance of being usurpable, as it has zero edits and does not exist on other wikis), or use this tool to find a username that is not already taken. If the username appears in that list, it is taken, regardless of whether the userpage is redlinked or not. Useight (talk) 03:37, 4 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Usurping (taking over an account that's registered, but hasn't been used - what you're talking about) is carried out at WP:USURP, however requests are generally not completed if the user requesting the usurp hasn't been on Wikipedia for several months. So if you want you can wait until you're eligible to usurp the name, or change to a name that isn't in use here. Regards, Matt (Talk) 02:59, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If it is not possible to change the username - which we find strange as many many other companies have listings under corporate names - could you please delete the entry as we will not be using it as the name is incorrect, which I'm sure as an on-line encyclopedia you strive to ensure things are accurate. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.236.56.195 (talk) 20:19, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Clerk note: It is possible to change the username, but the username you wish to change to can't be promotional per the Wikipedia:Username policy. You might be getting confused with usernames and articles, when you're logged in you can create an article with (basically) any name, your username only limits you on what pages you can create in your userspace (all pages in your userspace have to start with User:<your username>). There are articles about other companies, but the username policy on promotional usernames applies to everyone. User accounts can't be deleted, but you're able to just stop using the account. • AntiSpoof: antispoof check
  • For global renamer: rename user
  • Reason: I would like to request the rename because I have made edits that I would like to keep. It is in our interest to create an article that provides information on the firm as it has related to the city of Austin and the field of Architecture. We have read the conflicts of interest article and we agree to not act in ways to comprimise wikipedia's independence as an encyclopedic reference resource. Our errors have been brought by ignorance regarding how to create our username and how to organize our user profile page. I apologize for the errors and hope to rectify them. Please let me know if I can provide any additional information at this time. Dick Clark Architecture (talk) 20:31, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Naveh-Benjamin → Dambo36

  • Neither can do. Oversight will not address an editor outing himself, and admins cannot remove the edit summary short of deleting the article and selectively restoring diffs, which I do not see happening. My suggestion is to disassociate yourself as much as possible from the past name. -Jeremy (v^_^v Dittobori) 02:41, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Not done Please take your request to Talk:Memory and aging. Kingturtle (talk) 17:56, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bureaucrat note: What do you mean by publish? If you mean edit articles, you can do that now :) Kingturtle (talk) 13:36, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A24.248.39.186 → Chcoc

Axmann8 → Axmann

  • Current name: Axmann8 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · target logs · block log · list user · global contribs · central auth · Google) ()
  • Requested name: Axmann (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · target logs · block log · list user · global contribs · central auth · Google)
  • Previous renames: current user, target user, Queue: open req, closed req
  • AntiSpoof: antispoof check
  • For global renamer: rename user
  • Reason: Previously, when I first registered on Wikipedia, I attempted to register the username "Axmann", however, during registration, the system told me that there was already a user with the name "AxMann". I recently posted in the usurpations section because I was unable to find any history of this user existing, but a member there confirmed to me that, indeed, there is no user named "AxMann". Thus, I am respectfully requesting that my Wikipedia username be changed to the correct name, "Axmann", not "AxMann" (Notice the capital 'M' in the second one, I don't want that. Thanks again. I was also curious, if the username change is completed, how will I login? Can I use the name "Axmann" to login, or will I have to keep using "Axmann8" as my login name? Axmann8 (talk) 11:55, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Not done We have a user already called User:AxMann. As can be seen in your request, above, you're a little confused by the inclusion/exclusion of upper case. You must have tried originally to register AxMann. I'm disinclined to allow this request: while AxMann is inactive, they may return and potentially having an Axmann and an AxMann is confusing. Sorry. I recommend you take one of three courses of action. Either stick with your current name, choose another alternative altogether, or, indeed, head over to WP:USURP. (NB AxMann does have GFDL-significant edits - read the instructions at USURP). --Dweller (talk) 12:12, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ken_oostende → NEW .IT

  • Current name: Ken_oostende (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · target logs · block log · list user · global contribs · central auth · Google) ()
  • Requested name: .IT (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · target logs · block log · list user · global contribs · central auth · Google)
  • Previous renames: current user, target user, Queue: open req, closed req
  • AntiSpoof: antispoof check
  • For global renamer: rename user
  • Reason: I requested a name change and got it, but I forgot to log out. So it seems my old username is still active and I don't know how that is possible. My former contributions went to my new name (.IT), but those that I made the day after stil logged in with my old name are now on this "old account". I would like to see it merged with my new name or if this can't be done, the posts made with my old name may be deleted. I'll remake them with my .IT account then. Sorry, but I don't know what else to do. Thanks in advance Ken oostende (talk) 15:57, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not done Your original request was successful. Have you tried logging into User:.IT? I'm guessing you created User:Ken oostende after the change took place. Kingturtle (talk) 16:07, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

ROCKHarbor Productions → RHP

Bureaucrat note: RHP would still be promotional, and RHP is already taken. Do you have another name you'd like to use that is not affiliated with your business? Kingturtle (talk) 20:29, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Not done awaiting new request. Kingturtle (talk) 14:59, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to use "yumyumcereal" as my username. ROCKHarbor Productions (talk)

Fullonproductions → Full On Productions

Not done Promotional, and the name implies more than one person would be using the account. Only one person per account please. Kingturtle (talk) 18:43, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
