- Propose deleting Category:Fellows of the Royal Society of Arts ( | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
- Nominator's rationale: This is a non-defining category. "Fellow" in this context merely means member; unlike an FRS, this is not an award of any kind. StAnselm (talk) 16:26, 27 July 2022 (UTC)
- Support -- Even if this is more than a mere membership, it is not significant enough to merit a category. Some fellowships of societies are by election, as opposed to ordinary memberships. Peterkingiron (talk) 17:44, 27 July 2022 (UTC)
- Weak keep. I am not sure about this one. It does say that Fellowship is granted to individuals that the Royal Society of Arts (RSA) judges to have made outstanding achievements toward social progress and development. That does seem to be a lot more then just paying a subscription. --Bduke (talk) 08:08, 29 July 2022 (UTC)
- Support, even if it can be considered to be an award we mostly do not categorize people by award anyway. Marcocapelle (talk) 06:24, 4 August 2022 (UTC)

- The result of the discussion was: listify (and upmerge) (non-admin closure) Qwerfjkltalk 20:51, 9 August 2022 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: Per WP:OC#TRIVIA. User:Namiba 13:06, 27 July 2022 (UTC)
- Keep, per other parallel categories, or at the very least listify. Certainly not a trivial intersection. Quite the opposite, in fact. For an American president to have received a monument outside the United States is far more significant and unusual than them having received one within the United States. Grutness...wha? 13:08, 27 July 2022 (UTC)
- Preferably listify. Peterkingiron (talk) 17:45, 27 July 2022 (UTC)
- I am comfortable with listifying and deleting. The buildings and monuments in question are either a bridge connecting the US and Canada, the vacation home of a former president, or a stretch of road or a high school ceremonially renamed for a president. They are, to use the phrasing in WP:OCTRIVIA, characteristics which are "unrelated or wholly peripheral to the topic's notability." A ceremonial renaming of a stretch of road in a major city (Ontario Street) is peripheral to the notability of the street.--User:Namiba 14:55, 31 July 2022 (UTC)

- Nominator's rationale: delete, redundant category layer with only one subcategory. Merging is not needed, the subcategory is already further down in the same tree. Marcocapelle (talk) 02:56, 27 July 2022 (UTC)
Oppose - While currently small there is potential for growth. Looking at categories in a similar camp, such as Category:Lists of animated characters, Category:Lists of anime and manga characters, and Category:Disney CGI characters, there are definitely categories that can be added to decrease the redundancy currently seen. Sam WalczakTalk/Edits 15:03, 27 July 2022 (UTC)
- Of course you are fully entitled to add more subcategories if they exist. Marcocapelle (talk) 16:51, 27 July 2022 (UTC)
