This article cites no real world sources, the notability is questionable, and most of the pertinent information is already contained in other articles. Rm994 (talk) 14:07, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- This AfD nomination was incomplete (missing step 3). It is listed now. DumbBOT (talk) 15:43, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Comment isn't Salem the cat in DOOL? Because if he is, then the character is quite notable. I remember my sister's soap opera (but don't know which one of the 1,000 of soaps it is) where a cat named Salem appears almost daily."Antonio Black Cat Martin (talk) 08:53, 29 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Article has nothing to with a cat. It's about a place in a soap opera and consists in large part of a list of spots withing that fictional spot. Seems like a bit of a mess. I'm not really sure what to do with it. Maybe merge to main aritcle and let them sort it out? ChildofMidnight (talk) 19:29, 29 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment I believe Salem the cat was in Sabrina the Teenage Witch Jonathan Hall (talk) 20:14, 29 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete NN - no sources listed so looks mighty like OR to me. Jonathan Hall (talk) 20:15, 29 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. This article should exist for the mere fact that the topic needs its own article and cannot/nor should be in the Days of our Lives article. Not every topic on Wikipedia that is split off from a main topic has the same or close to the same level of notability. Flyer22 (talk) 02:07, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep -- Article needs some work though. -- Dougie WII (talk) 17:13, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Comment I personally don't see the point in having this article. Where is the notability? Salem is just the place where Days of our Lives occurs. That is the only thing important about it. The page seems more like a fan site, with day to day updates, which violates the point of an encyclopedia. Rm994 (talk) 03:57, 31 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep Normally, I'd suggest merging such content, but the importance of the setting and of the work make it better to have a separate article. This is far from fansite material--a proper fansite would be in much more detail, with specifics about each individual house--this is reasonably encyclopedic content. I would be appropriate to search for some actual references, as usual. DGG (talk) 16:20, 31 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Strong Keep It needs some work, but I agree that the topic cannot be covered if it were merged into the parent article. Candyo32 (talk) 16:18, 2 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
