Unsourced. Going through AFD because being a Wikipedia version may make it ineligible for A7 Sceptre (talk) 14:50, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete. This will go on the Main Page once launched anyway. Blanchardb-Me•MyEars•MyMouth-timed 14:54, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Can you explain what ineligible for A7 means??, and it's unsourced, because the only news about wikipedia arz, was only from wikimania 2008, which I am in now, so if anyone has more sources, they should expand it anyway
- Blanchardb, you can't just delete an article because you know that it'll be done anyway when its time comes, I made a step, somebody would go further, but that's all I have now, I request changing the flag into not citing my sources or references instead of deletion. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.234.165.76 (talk) 02:05, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Either delete or redirect to List of Wikipedias. We have deleted or redirected other articles about foreign-language editions of Wikipedia which did not establish notability through coverage in independent sources. In this case, the Egyptian Arabic Wikipedia has apparently not even been established yet, just announced. It would be very hard for a web site which has not even been launched to establish notabiity. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 16:44, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- but this only means you should flag it as a futuristic event or product, anyway, if someone knows how to do it,, just do it... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Koraiem (talk • contribs) 17:04, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- I tagged it as a {{future product}} because that seemed to be the most appropriate "future" tag available. But I still don't know if this will be a notable web site once it is fully established; some language editions of Wikipedia are notable, and others are not. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 02:25, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Thanks, and maybe you're right, anyway it's up to the community to decide a popular wiki than another. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Koraiem (talk • contribs) 12:03, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
