- Comment. I am the creator of the article. The editor proposing it for deletion has a point, the event is probably local. At the same time, it is the annual Christmas event of San Jose, California, one of the largest cities on America's west coast, it has been going on for 30 years, and it attracts 450,000 visitors a year. Surely that's more notable than many articles on high schools and cartoon characters. Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 19:49, 30 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment, i added 2 articles focussing on this event (not just mentioning in passing). Compare Solano Avenue Stroll, which is definitely more crowded, but doesnt last as long.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 03:09, 31 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- I think here you meant to say that you added "references to two articles focusing on this event." Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 17:09, 31 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- You are correct, sir. (to quote Ed McMahon) from the Tonight Show)Mercurywoodrose (talk) 23:41, 31 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment. While working on this article I ran into Holiday in the Park, Christmas in the Park (New Zeeland), which appear no more notable than this one. Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 17:08, 31 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep There are a number of articles about local Christmas events: Frozen Dead Guy Days, Natchitoches Christmas Festival, Brighstone Christmas Tree Festival, Natal Luz. Perhaps a more general discussion is needed. Illia Connell (talk) 04:58, 7 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep A major festival with a ton of coverage. Most of the coverage is from the San Jose Mercury News, which is a respected regional paper but just one source. But I also found coverage from the Modesto Bee and even the Providence Journal. More sources should be added, but the article should clearly be kept IMO. --MelanieN (talk) 01:37, 8 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
