Fails to meet WP:GNG or WP:NGEO. It's a place with landmass with valid coordinate. Existence is not notability. One of those best, biggest, tallest, "-est... in xxx" trivia articles. Graywalls (talk) 14:15, 18 October 2024 (UTC)

- I'm inclined to suggest both this page and Khazret Sultan be merged to Hisar Range. There aren't substantive reliable sources about either of them – the only coverage is the peakbagger database and the blog post by the climbers. Unless there was independent coverage of the climb or the peaks, I don't think standalone pages are needed. Maybe there's an Uzbek source indicating there's a local interest in this superlative? - @Reywas92 There's not even anything to merge. Something that simply exists, and can only be verified by name in the blogosphere of personal websites and blogs shouldn't exist on Wikipedia at all. Like the shed in your property, or a hill on your farm. It shouldn't be merged, because the bloggy source do not meet contents policy per WP:RS Graywalls (talk) 15:35, 18 October 2024 (UTC)

Please add new comments below this notice. Thanks, The Herald (Benison) (talk) 14:32, 25 October 2024 (UTC)- Redirect to
Hisar RangeUzbekistan#Geography, where it's mentioned. Nothing currently here to merge. JoelleJay (talk) 22:31, 30 October 2024 (UTC)- @JoelleJay:, I tried, but couldn't find it. Can you find reliable sources that interconnect Alpomish with Hisar Range? If we can't find any reliable source interrelating the two, we shouldn't do it. Just because there's a questionable article that says Unicorn Rainbow Banana is a Tropical fruit and some blogs say so or someone slipped Unicorn Rainbow Banana into tropical banana doesn't mean it's an appropriate redirect. This is why I'm basically dismissing this redirect as a reasonable WP:ATD. Graywalls (talk) 01:11, 31 October 2024 (UTC)
- This (mostly primary) account mentions it was named Alpomysh in 2023, though it doesn't directly say Hisar Range. This source on the first summit also doesn't say the range. Maybe redirect to Uzbekistan, where I've added a sentence on Alpomish sourced to the latter source? JoelleJay (talk) 05:12, 31 October 2024 (UTC)
- I'm just hesitant to do a re-direct to something just because some people started calling it that way but not formally recognized and published. It takes a few seconds to do a re-direct. So, a re-direct can be done the moment there's a mention about it in a reliable source. There's no deadline. What do you think @JoelleJay Graywalls (talk) 00:48, 1 November 2024 (UTC)
- The second source appears reliable, and redirecting to Uzbekistan avoids the issue of asserting anything about it being in the Hisar Range. JoelleJay (talk) 01:21, 1 November 2024 (UTC)

- Redirect to Uzbekistan#Geography per JoelleJay. There is currently a one-sentence mention of Alpomish in the target section, which is all that is needed. Frank Anchor 18:24, 1 November 2024 (UTC)
