Zbigniew Błażeje
From what I can tell from what I see that you objected to my attempt to create an entry for artist Zbigniew Blazeje. I don't quite understand why? Is there another entry I missed or some errors that make the entry problematic? I have been researching Blazeje for some time primarily due to his work with Terry Rusling, a radio engineer at CBC who also became and electronic composer. He was the uncle of a very good friend and he introduced to us ellectronic music back in the early 70s. Rusling knew Blazeje because they both studied at the University of Toronto's Electronic Music Studio (UTEMS) which housed Hugh LeCaine's electromic music devices. Due to some exposure to electronic music through music sent to CBC Rusling became interested. He received a travel grant and travelled to many of the renowned electronic music studios in Norrth America and Europe. Rusling met Blazeje and they became friends with Rusling eventually composing some electronic music for an exhibition at the Art Gallery of Ontario and which eventually travelled to many galleries and Expo 67. I have been involved with Terry's work because he was an uncle of one of my best friends. He gave us 4 sets of Deutsche Grammofon Avant Garde sets, introducing us to this area of music. I went on to become involving in music distribution which included experimental music as did my friend Dave Porter. I started a music distribution service and started a label which was called Spool. Because of this involvement I am aware of how Rusling impacted experiemtnal music in Canada and beyond. He was self effacing and never pushed to be known. My friend and I decided at one point to honour this person who inspired our life long interest in the arts, we both had impacts in this rather small world of experimental arts and one of our goals wa to see Rusling recorded as an active part of the Canadian avant garde scene both in music and art. A Canada Council Grant brought Terry to the finest studios in North America and Europe. Terry played a key roll Blazeje's touring exhibition, working along with Blazeje in musical aspect of the installation as well as integrating the same with the visual elements. Rusling was modest to a fault and and always would step back from the limelight. There are key connections with American and European composers and studios that suggest some recognition. I have tried to follow your guidelines but perhaps have failed to meet your guidelines. I would like advice on how to make it suitable. Dagrke8754! (talk) 20:00, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
