Hello, I'm Geniac. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Rupanjana Mitra, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Geniac (talk) 18:29, 6 January 2025 (UTC)
- Sure. Thank you so much, and sorry for the inconvenience. I shall be citing every edit i make from now on with reliable sources. VSOian (talk) 18:38, 6 January 2025 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for January 8
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Presidency University, Kolkata, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Presidency University. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Incorrect and Addition of Information
@Bonadea Good Afternoon Ma'am,
I had a doubt. In this article as father, it is given- 'J.N. Sircar' but it is incorrect I suppose. Nripendra Sircar's father was- Nagendranath Sircar, according to these two sources- Source 1 and Source 2 Please look into the matter and do the needful ma'am. Additionally, I found more information about Nripendra Sircar on the above two sources. May I add them citing the links given above?
Thank You, VSOian (talk) 11:28, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- Hello VSOian, thank you for your question. First a comment on Who's Who as a source. Wikipedia considers that to be generally unreliable (see this list of sources) because the entries are written by the subjects themselves – on the other hand, this particular claim might be considered OK to source from there because after all, it seems unlikely that he would give the wrong name for his father! I don't have access to Who's Who, but of course I trust you are right about what it says. The other source you provide, Sir N.N. Sircar's Speeches and Pamphlets, seems fine to me, so I think you can change the info about Sircar's father based on that, and then you don't need to refer to Who's Who at all. If you use the book about Sircar's speeches and pamphlet as a source to add more info to the article, do be careful to keep to a neutral tone, though, since the book is written in a rather laudarory manner! --bonadea contributions talk 12:50, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you so much ma'am. I have changed the information.

Inclusion of Family Tree on my User Page
@Bonadea Good Evening Ma'am.
I had a question regarding my User @VSOian Page. Can I add my family tree, as a new Section on my user page? Would it be a violation or anything similar?
Thank You,
Regards. VSOian (talk) 15:35, 11 January 2025 (UTC)

Pls add name of relative on birendranath sircar. it got removed — Preceding unsigned comment added by 45.113.91.7 (talk) 14:45, 18 January 2025 (UTC)
- Hello. I know, we share common relatives, but we really can't add 'any names' in an Infobox. Only, notable names can be added. Please don't edit in such a way. It may result in the blocking of both of our accounts, please. I am also not aware whether this can be added to my User Page. I have to enquire. VSOian (talk) 14:56, 18 January 2025 (UTC)

Request reason:
Good Morning Sir- @PhilKnight You seem to have blocked me- indefinitely without any prior notice. Also, it seems to me you haven't gone through my Talk Page- where it is clearly mentioned- that I use a cyber cafe- for editing pages- where in many cases, many other people use the same device which I have used too- Please refer to this- A message which I had written to @Viewmont VikingVSOian (talk) 02:13, 23 January 2025 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Confirmed sockpuppetry, including WP:LOUTSOCK (and including after the block was placed). This is not explained by you editing in a cyber cafe. Yamla (talk) 12:47, 26 January 2025 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

@Viewmont Viking please look into this matter- Help me Please- See all of my contributions is is all abiding by the rules and all- why would I suddenly do something that I would be blocked? Also, PhilKnight, without any prior, notice blocked me. VSOian (talk) 02:13, 23 January 2025 (UTC)
- Notice is not necessarily required before blocking. So it's just a big coincidence that you and your relatives are editing about the same topic? And that at least one has a similar username that indicates that? (a topic that seems to be yourself?) 331dot (talk) 09:03, 23 January 2025 (UTC)
Your reason here "No Vandalism will be done in Future- Also- the 290 edits which were made- were all that improved articles and made them better.— Preceding unsigned comment added by VSOian (talk • contribs)
- You have a request open; please do not add additional requests. Additional comment should be standard, unformatted comments like this. You have a lot more to speak to than this. 331dot (talk) 13:29, 24 January 2025 (UTC)
- @Yamla @331dot As I type this, they appear to be desperately loutsocking at the usual draft article to try to get it accepted again (see their edit summaries); since it's an IP range I don't know if I should add it to the SPI or not, can you please advise? Blue Sonnet (talk) 02:43, 27 January 2025 (UTC)
- I've blocked a narrow range and protected that draft. Given the specific IP addresses involved, range blocks aren't likely to be helpful for this user. --Yamla (talk) 10:58, 27 January 2025 (UTC)
