Asian Kung-Fu Generation edits
If you're going to make unilateral decisions on how to manage the article on AKG, you could at least explain your reasoning on the talk page. Your snarky comment, "I guess the JAPANESE wikipedia doesn't know what it's talking about, then" to an anonymous editor was EXTREMELY rude, and using the Japanese Wikipedia as an authoritive source for genre definitions is dubious at best. The anonymous editor was correct that Asian Kung-Fu Generation doesn't meet the typically accepted criteria for the emo genre -- though their status as a hardcore emo band could be debated I'd imagine.
Additionally, "Asian Kung-Fu Generation Flash Back!" is the best English-language resource for information on the band by FAR right now. Regardless of your opinion on the matter, referencing to (and linking to) fan websites for bands is a very common practice throughout Wikipedia. I'd welcome you to argue your position further in the talk page, but I feel strongly that "Flash Back!" is a valuable resource which should be included, at the VERY least until an official English site is established for the band.

Edit summaries
Thank you for working to remove vandalism from Wikipedia. However, I would like to please use different edit summaries when reverting vandalism. A popular one is "rvv" which stands for revert vandalism. Your current edit summaries could provoke a vandal into vandalising more, and may violate our policy against personal attacks. Thank you for your understanding, and good luck tracking down vandalism, Prodego talk 21:05, 28 April 2006 (UTC)
- Please remember to use relevent edit summaries. Thank you. Prodego talk 21:48, 5 May 2006 (UTC)

Sorry for the trouble I've caused, I also want to clarify something
I replied to the message you left on the Wikiproject Final Fantasy talk page. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding we've been having, and I realised that most of it was my fault (the thing about romanization, you seem to know better than me how to romanize, but I think I've learned a bit). Now, if we could try and forget about this part, since I sincerely apologise, I think we could try to move forward to improving the Final Fantasy albums. Speaking of which, I want to clarify something. Although the english translation I provide are not always litterally what the japanese title is, I want you to know that I am using the translation from an official Square Enix website. You went ahead and changed some track names in Final Fantasy VII: Reunion tracks (not talking about removing orchestra since this is correct), such as track 3 Fight On!, to People Still Fighting. Once again, I know that the litteral translation is people still fighting, but I wanted to use the translation given by an official source since this leads to less confusion I think. I'd like to have your advice on this. Oh, almost forgot, you changed ou to ō everywhere in the romanizations, I just want to know, when an O is followed by a U, is this really how it is romanized on wikipedia, or it's just a mistake, knowing this would help me for the next times I romanize something. I sincerely hope we haven't "started on the wrong foot" too much.--DarkEvil 22:08, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
- It's mostly because I'm a stubborn ass. D: I apologize too.I didn't know Square even HAD official English names for the FFVII OST tracks - I've only seen "Those Who Fight" and "Fighting" and the such all over the Internet. And although I don't like it much, even if it's literally "ou", they want "ō" to be used. So...yeah. urutapu 01:17, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for answering to all of my questions, and I like the fact that we seem to have come to an understanding. They have official track translations for a lot of albums since the MORE FRIENDS concert I think, but I don't think a lot of people know about this. About Square, I think using their translation gives us a good source and also is a better way to keep along with their intention. So I will make the change according to their translation, correcting their errors if need be (there seems to be some typo in their tracks some times), and I will also keep in mind about ou being ō, thanks. Also, a little advice, although you're not obliged to do it this way, most users answer to questions on the talk page of the user who asked the question to be certain the message will get through, but not everyone does this, so it's up to you.--DarkEvil 01:40, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
- ...it's so much easier here. D:;; urutapu 01:51, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

Edit summary
I saw your recent edit to Bulbasaur, which seemed to be coupled with a hurtful edit summary. If I don't know how to use them, please tell me how. Highway Rainbow Sneakers 07:19, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, I was too rough. I apologize They're like this--the accepted Japanese name method is (for example, Rufus Shinra)--Rufus Shinra [bold this if you want] (ルーファウス神羅 Rūfausu Shinra). Template:nihongo is the same way [extra field works by writing extra= then adding the extra bit. Often it's a literal translation, IPA, etc]--
NAME (KANA+KANJI, ROMIZATION) → Rufus Shinra (ルーファウス神羅, Rūfausu Shinra)
- See Template:Nihongo also.
- See, it's just that it's probably better not to interpret the katakana into an English-ish name (we could just add an interpretation along with the discussion of the etymology I guess), but it's kinda weird without anything to put in the name field, so I just delete them altogether if it's easier. urutapu 13:12, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
Pokémon References: A Response
I know that the references may be out of date or completely wrong, but I was bored and I went about filling in and subst'ing the parameters for the Pokerefs Template. I realize that it may not be right, but it's better than seeing "{{{1}}}{{{3}}}" when it should say something like "Bulbasaur." Ryulong 19:58, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
Omega
What's with changing 'Omega' to the Greek letter? Square spell 'Omega' out in full on the covers to the Ultimania Omega books. --86.143.215.5 17:52, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
- Well change it back if you must, but every Japanese text-only source uses the Greek letter. urutapu 20:53, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
This is the proof - that it is NET HIKARI
You want proof that his name is spelled Net Hikari? http://www.tv-tokyo.co.jp/anime/rockmanexe_axess/character/chara01.html - Here you go.
"(No, it IS Netto. If you knew anything, you'd know it's written in kanji. As in NATIVE JAPANESE. It's a pun on net, sure, but it's NETTO.)"
First off, your attitude should be cast aside. Two - It doesn't matter that it's written in Kanji - The Japanese romanize it as "Net", and therefore that's his name. Just like in Death Note where the guy's name is Light (Not Raito) - His name is Net, not Netto. WhisperToMe 20:32, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

Shin-Ra translation
Thanks for correcting my romanization; I got it from a site so it's obvious that the style wasn't consistent. I'm shocked that I got most of it right, anyway. ' (Feeling chatty? ) (Edits!) 03:31, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:FF sprite blue mage.png
Thanks for uploading Image:FF sprite blue mage.png. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

Request
Hello; I have a request. Please don't use autorevert tags for issues that aren't, say, vandalism, since it made me think that you were reverting Ryu's legit edits. Thanks! — Deckiller 19:31, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not too sure either, but it's all good. — Deckiller 19:38, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
Excellent, someone with a working knowledge of both Japanese and Mega Man. Can you hop over to Mega Man X (character) and add the Japanese name (not just "Rockman X", but the proper Japanese name)? I'd appreciate it greatly. - A Man In Bl♟ck (conspire | past ops) 03:21, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
Exdeath/Exodus
Hey, just wanted to make sure you saw this. In the JP version of FFXII, the name is clearly spelled "ekusudesu" and not "ekusedesu". Observe- http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j285/Druffmaul/263Exdeath.jpg Cheers. Druff 10:09, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
Nihongo thing
Yeah, that works for me. I'll adjust some of the others.
P.S. I have more userboxes. Ryu Kaze 21:36, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
Edit to Rurouni Kenshin
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Rurouni_Kenshin&diff=65109497&oldid=65076257
The reason why VIZ kept it as Rurouni is because the "Rurouni" part is written in Hiragana. IMO it's supposed to stay romanized as "Rurouni" WhisperToMe 05:16, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
Princesses of Heart
Why did you revert my reversion of this redirect? It's impossible to redirect to a section within an article; I was just fixing that. Powers T 15:30, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
- Are you sure it works? According to meta:Help:Redirect#A redirect to an anchor, it just plain doesn't work. If you click this link: Princesses of Heart, you go to the #P anchor? Powers T 02:25, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not sure what you saw yesterday, but as far as I'm aware it's never worked for anyone. *shrug* Do you mind if I change it back? Powers T 15:02, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
I just wanted to draw attention to my merge proposal here, since you're one of the regular editors there. Thanks. Axem Titanium 00:42, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
May I ask why you delelted my contributions to the Organization XIII page? I do not believe that they were inappropriate, but the removal of the edit was only marked with "please don't." I am not asking or much, just an explanation.
Thank you, KyleEd
