Administrators can help out anywhere, regardless if there are "involved" in a particular project. See Wikipedia:Requests for administrator attention if you need to contact one, or feel free to come to me directly, and I'll either assist you or redirect you to a more appropriate resource. That being said, administrators don't hold any special authority as far as adding content to articles. Wikipedia operates on consensus. Do look at the task list at WP:NBA, as Bossanoven mentioned.
