Hi Steelartisan1! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. |
RMS Queen Mary 2 flag
Hello, I reverted the Bermuda ensign into the info box for RMS Queen Mary 2 back to the undefaced Red Ensign. She still flies the undefaced Red Ensign as do all British merchant vessels - including those registered in British Overseas Territories. It's a mistake that a lot make because vessel traffic locating services have it wrong. You'll see a more detailed explanation on the Talk page for QM2. Blue Riband► 22:31, 13 April 2014 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for April 21
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited RMS Dunottar Castle, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Liner (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Royal Mail Ships
Thankyou for your edits to RMS Dunottar Castle, RMS Pendennis Castle and Windsor Castle. "RMS" stands for "Royal Mail Ship", not "Royal Mail Steamer", so I have revised them accordingly. Also Wikipedia practice is for the name in bold at the beginning of an article's introduction to be, as far as possible, the same as the name of the article. Hence if an article is about a Royal Mail Ship, the intro begins "RMS so-and-so, and the initials RMS can be explained in a subsequent sentence.
There is huge scope to improve and increase Wikipedia's articles on ships and shipping. To this end there is a WikiProject Ships to aid collaboration between contributors to all Wikipedia articles on civilian and naval ships. We currently have 173 members, and would be very glad to welcome another volunteer. Please visit our main project page and consider joining us!
