Hi, I don't know what the picture is about, but this is plain wrong. A match was fenced for the bronze medal, as it says both on the organiser's page and on the FIE's. Both sources mention third and fourth places, not joined third places. All zone championships are the same on this respect. Jastrow (Λέγετε) 12:13, 3 July 2015 (UTC)
- @Jastrow:, then you should find out what the picture is about, use google translator, this is not even new, in Asia they award two bronze medals, that "bronze medal match" is only valid for FIE World ranking. Mohsen1248 (talk) 12:42, 3 July 2015 (UTC)
- It's the other way round. Maybe they give a medal to the 4th team, but there is only one third team, as proven by the ranking match. It's very misleading to mention the 3rd and 4th teams on the same footing, especially this isn't only about FIE ranking, but also Olympic qualification. Also this should be mentioned explicitly in the article as no other zone championship does this AND supported by a proper reference. Jastrow (Λέγετε) 13:06, 3 July 2015 (UTC)
- @Jastrow:, What matters is they give medal, which means those teams should be in medal table and medal summary, if you want you can write a note about that in lead section which is a good idea but those medals should be there since they awarded those medals. this is a rule in Asia for so many years (I think from 2006) and it doesn't matter if other zones do the same or not. and I can't understand what's the relation between those medals and Olympic qualification ! this is not a direct qualification tournament. and this article is about the Asian Championship and not the Olympic qualification. Mohsen1248 (talk) 13:32, 3 July 2015 (UTC)
- I get your point about the medals. I didn't know and I apologise about attempting to "correct" these tables. My own point is that the article should explain that bronze medals are awarded to the 3rd-ranked team *and* the 4th-ranked team. As of now, it's impossible to know who is 3rd and who is 4th, which is important for FIE ranking and Olympic qualification. What I suggest is a short explanation in the intro (with a reference if it can be found) as well as top-8 rankings on the same model as 2015 European Fencing Championships#Foil team for instance. I can also add the detailed tables if I have the time. Jastrow (Λέγετε) 14:17, 3 July 2015 (UTC)
- Writing a note is a good idea, you can write the last bronze medalist (written in bottom) originally finished 4th. having more details is even better, I won't complain if you add them. Mohsen1248 (talk) 14:23, 3 July 2015 (UTC)

Hi Mohsen. I've just noticed your previous nomination at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2014 Asian Wrestling Championships – Men's freestyle 57 kg. I note that there was no discussion of the potential of merging those details elsewhere and the nomination was treated as keep/delete all. I think that's an important point that shouldn't be missing as the previous outcome appears to be setting a precedent going into Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Athletics at the 2015 Southeast Asian Games – Men's 100 metres and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Pencak silat at the 2015 Southeast Asian Games – Women's 65 kg. Thanks! SFB 11:59, 11 July 2015 (UTC)
- Hi, well I think for that discussion "deletion" was the best outcome. It was a third tied competition in wrestling (most countries send B teams to Asian Champs) and beside that those articles were poor since the scoring in wrestling is a little complicated and the writer didn't know that. As for the Southeast Asian Games, I am neutral here, but if I had to vote I would vote for merging as well. Mohsen1248 (talk) 16:09, 11 July 2015 (UTC)
Mohammad Mousavi (volleyball)
Hi there, you stated that my edit for Mohammad Mousavi's page was the 'wrong information'. I was simply stating this source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2015_FIVB_Volleyball_World_League#Best_blockers
As you can see it states that Mousavi's stats were the highest for the FIVB 2015 World League. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BardiaSaeedi (talk • contribs) 16:02, 5 August 2015 (UTC)
- And in the same page you can read the "award section". he just led the stats which means nothing, they only give awards to players from top 4 teams. 16:49, 5 August 2015 (UTC)
I see what you mean. Thanks for explaining BardiaSaeedi (talk) 15:20, 6 August 2015 (UTC)

SaməkTalk 12:45, 15 September 2015 (UTC)Younes Sarmasti
Moving players
Hi, could you please not move players as you are doing. There is no clear Romanization of Kyrgyz. With WP:RUS being the accepted standard for cyrillic on enWIki, it is best that we align romanisation, where possible. Thanks. Fenix down (talk) 08:56, 15 October 2015 (UTC)
- so what ? I can't see why WP:RUS should apply for other ex-soviet countries ? in this case in wikipedia they use what's more common in English sources. Mohsen1248 (talk) 09:08, 15 October 2015 (UTC)
- So why did you move Artem Mulajanov? The letter "e" in his first name is not a recognised romanisation of Kyrgyz in any of the three romanisation styles noted here, so the "sources" are wrong. You should not move stuff around simply because one source presented Romanizes in a certain way. Additionally the "e" = "ye" is used on enWiki instead of accepted romanizations as an aid to pronunciation. Fenix down (talk) 09:28, 15 October 2015 (UTC)
- Can't you understand ? it's not romanization, English sources use this for him. in fact I should moved it to Muladjanov, this, this, this and they are all notable sources. Mohsen1248 (talk) 09:54, 15 October 2015 (UTC)

Asian junior handball
Hey, without having a chance to look at the articles, i think it's not different than any other youth/junior handball article (Europe e.g.). You can contact an admin and ask him if he can move it to your userspace so it won't get lost. I did not see the deletion discussion or else i would have chipped in (after checking the articles of course). Seems a bit pre-mature to delete them (All that said without looking at any article) Kante4 (talk) 19:37, 21 October 2015 (UTC)

I noticed that you moved page Filipe Oliveira (born 1995) to Filipe Oliveira (footballer, born 1995) -- per WP:NCSP it appears the proper rename should be Filipe Oliveira (footballer) as there is no need to disambiguate based on the year. Tiggerjay (talk) 22:45, 31 October 2015 (UTC)

Men's Football of 2014 Asian Games
Hello, I just seen your contribution for the page of "Men's Football of 2014 Asian Games". Thank you for your hard work, however, if only consider their points earned, it's not fair for the teams who were drawn in a three-teams' group, because they can't played one more match than the teams who were drawn in a four-teams' group. Please consider this carefully, thank you. Younis7435 (talk) 02:19, 14 January 2016 (UTC)

Personally, I disagree with the indiscriminate use of the {{db-banned}} tag - if a page is valid then why does it matter who created it? However if you insist on using that tag on templates, please ensure that you bracket the tag with <noinclude></noinclude>

Naming conventions
Hi Mohsen1248, thanks for adjusting all the newly created biographies to the correct title. Great work and always verry fast! As I create many of them I feel guilty. As you are much more experienced in it than I am, can you give me some extra tips so I can do it while creating. The few things I know
- For some Asian country family name first: China, North and South Korea, Taiwan. But also Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore? Are there more.
- For some countries: Familyname Firstgivenname-secondgivenname, Like North and South Korea and Taiwan. Also Hong Kong? Other countries
- Of most of the People with 2 given and Two family names: Firstgivenname Firstfamilyname, but for Brazil: 1stgivenname Last family name.
Thanks if you can give me some things to look at :) Sander.v.Ginkel (Talk) 19:31, 19 April 2016 (UTC)
- @Sander.v.Ginkel: Hi, you are welcome, I studied naming system in almost all Asian countries. and some non-Asian countries. beside that I have a bit more information about Asian athletes as I created so so many Asian Games articles.
- For China, both Korea and Taiwan you always have the surname first , then the given name but things are more complicated for Malay/Singapore/Hong Kong names. There are different formats for them because some of them are from Chinese origin, in fact you have to follow east Asian Chinese format for names with only Chinese words. something like Lim Heem Wei. but most of them have both a Chinese given name and a western given name. in this case they are mostly known by their western name. for example Terry Tay, his surname is Tay, his western given name is Terry while his Chinese given name is Wei An, in his country and in English sources he is known as Terry Tay.
- Brazilian names are more complicated, I have no fixed formula for them, I usually just google the name to see what name Brazilian websites use for that person. Mohsen1248 (talk) 20:34, 19 April 2016 (UTC)

- User:Mohsen1248/sandbox7 Mohsen1248 (talk) 13:30, 7 July 2016 (UTC)
Salazar67 (talk) 13:53, 7 July 2016 (UTC)
Salazar67 (talk) 14:00, 7 July 2016 (UTC)
Mohsen1248 (talk) 15:08, 7 July 2016 (UTC)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1984_AFC_Asian_Cup_qualification Salazar67 (talk) 15:55, 7 July 2016 (UTC)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matches_of_the_Republic_of_Ireland_national_football_team
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Italy_national_football_team_results_(1910%E2%80%9329)
Salazar67 (talk) 17:36, 7 July 2016 (UTC)
World Weightlifting Championships
Hi Mohsen1248, at the moment I'm creating pages of the weightlifters who participated at the World Weightlifting Championships. I finished 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2015. I noticed you made a lot of edits to these pages of the World Championships and created a lot of the sub pages. I have two questions about that. 1) You created years ago the subpages of the 1997 World Weightlifting Championships. I found for this year only a PDF file with the results see here, that I can't convert to for instance XLS. Do you know how you got the data from 1997? Or do you maybe still have it? 2) All sub pages are created from 1997-2015 apart from the 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2006 World Weightlifting Championships. Are you willing to create them? That would be amazing, I can create later the articles of the participating weightlifters! Thanks for your time, Sander.v.Ginkel (Talk) 19:57, 6 September 2016 (UTC)
- Hi, I have to check my archive but I made most pages based on that PDF file and this https://www.iat.uni-leipzig.de/datenbanken/dbgwh/start.php link], this database also helped a lot. this is for 54kg results. as for other years, I really want to create all those articles but I'm kinda busy these days and it takes time, when I create articles like this, I search for every single athlete to find the correct name. checking articles in his/her own language and etc. I will create them eventually, just don't know when. Mohsen1248 (talk)
- Hi, thanks for your reply. Yes I understand it will take a lot of time. For the time being I created pages for all the recent World Championships like List of weightlifters at the 2006 World Weightlifting Championships. The names on these pages will be redirected to the names of the pages of the weightlifters. Thanks, Sander.v.Ginkel (Talk) 19:57, 9 September 2016 (UTC)

Invitation to the African Destubathon
Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:14, 6 October 2016 (UTC)

Your "sockpuppet war"
Your work against this guy ist just about deletion of his edits - in all cases. There is no creation of a kind of conversation with this guy to give a helping hand. Ok, some of his edits might be for discussion and not helpful, but not all!, f.e. most of statistics. And yes, it is necessary to motivate people.Montell 74 (talk) 18:49, 16 November 2016 (UTC)
- First, you should know why this is guy is blocked indef in first place, I wasn't even involved. when admins blocked him indef it means he should not be here. You are motivating him to create hundred accounts in a day. you should see the outcome, he is obviously ruining the pages. I'm not removing those stats because I don't like him, only because I don't think they should be in that article, he is making articles crazy big for unnecessary reasons, for example in sport of weightlifting, team ranking means almost nothing and it's not a notable thing to be in the main article at all. Mohsen1248 (talk) 18:53, 16 November 2016 (UTC)
- Yes, articles growing bigger and sometimes too big. But often it is just to find a consensus, to delete or create a new article. I don't have an overview about all his crazy output, but i try to take a look at and i miss this try on your side. This kind of "conversation" (ignoring and deletion) is reason for his situation to create new accounts. If you would motivate him, he just would need only one account.
- You wrote that team ranking is not useful on weightlifting sites. Why? Every championships has this ranking. And his work gives a complete overview about leading countries at championships in the past. Also formatting of the edition table was not bad or do you like to scroll down long tables with small width?Montell 74 (talk) 19:25, 16 November 2016 (UTC)
- Again, I didn't block his first account, admins did and you know they only block users indefinitely only if they make sure he has no place in wikipedia. and from the way he "communicates" they were very right. and I'm not even talking about his personal attacks. I have nothing personal against him, his edits are just bad in my opinion to stay and beside that as a sock puppet he is not allowed to edit wikipedia for a reason. You are motivating him in a wrong direction, instead of making him understand creating hundred accounts is not good, you are just helping him.
- In this sport of weightlifting , they only care about the medals, you will find VERY few information online about the team ranking. at very best I would add only the winning team to the article but I don't think even that is a good idea because of incomplete data and also the fact they change ranking a lot comparing to the initial ranking because of doping problems making the team ranking even more useless. Mohsen1248 (talk) 19:37, 16 November 2016 (UTC)

Asian Women's Handball Championship
Hey, you have any information for 2016/2017 Asian Women's Handball Championship? AHF just says it's in South Korea, but not more. Thanks in advance. Kante4 (talk) 15:38, 2 December 2016 (UTC)
- @Kante4: Hi, I did a bit research, based on this from 4 months ago, South Korea will host the event from 13 to 19 March 2017. Mohsen1248 (talk) 16:43, 2 December 2016 (UTC)
- Great, thanks you. Any info about teams/draw/schedule? Kante4 (talk) 19:03, 2 December 2016 (UTC)
- @Kante4: I'm quite sure the draw is not out yet. I would read about it. this is Asian Handball, so many teams register, half of them withdraw. so I think we will have the schedule only few weeks before the event. Mohsen1248 (talk) 19:59, 2 December 2016 (UTC)
- Ok, thanks. Can you let me know when something is out (or you can create the article of course)? Kante4 (talk) 21:34, 2 December 2016 (UTC)

Handball
Hey, sorry to bother you again. Is there a chance for the squads (preliminary maybe) for Bahrain, Egypt or Saudi Arabia? I found a 28-player list for KSA, but nothing for Bahrain... Only if you have time, thanks in advance. Kante4 (talk) 10:33, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
- @Kante4: Hi, oh this World Cup, still can't believe how Iran easily missed this one, as they thought Asia has 4+1 spots and sent a weaker squad to the qualifiers, they wanted to punish some key players and they thought the remaining team will be enough for a 5th place finish which was true but IHF later changed the qualification rules !
- btw, I had a quick search and found a 22 man list for Bahrain here from 20 December, I will search more tomorrow with transliteration of names. Mohsen1248 (talk) 01:01, 29 December 2016 (UTC)

- No problem and thanks. A source for the Egypt squad would be good. I copied it from the pdf document. And if there are newer squads from the asian teams, it would be nice if you have a link or so. But at least there is a squad for every team so far, helps a lot when the tournament starts = less work. ;) Kante4 (talk) 10:03, 5 January 2017 (UTC)

- Thanks. Egypt has a source i forgot. Everything is fine for now but feel free to make changes when they occur. Kante4 (talk) 11:12, 5 January 2017 (UTC)

Iran at the 2017 Asian Winter Games
Hi, can you please help me translate the names from this article [1] to the Iran at the 2017 Asian Winter Games article? Thanks! Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 05:10, 22 January 2017 (UTC)
- @Sportsfan 1234: Done, btw according to the same source, they won't send a team in Cross-country skiing. Mohsen1248 (talk) 16:46, 22 January 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks! Is this 100% confirmed. They initially sent entries for cross-country skiing to the organizing committee. Also, does the article say this is because of the world championships being held at the same time? Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 16:53, 22 January 2017 (UTC)
- Also do you know if the ice hockey team's names are published anywhere? Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 16:55, 22 January 2017 (UTC)
- Yes the article says they preferred to send the team to the World Championships. the way they wrote the article that sounds like a done deal. about the Ice hockey, I searched a bit, didn't find any final squad yet. Mohsen1248 (talk) 17:10, 22 January 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks! Do you know any other languages like Arabic etc.? Trying to find the teams of other countries to no avail. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 17:40, 22 January 2017 (UTC)
- I understand basic Arabic, I mean it's hard to search in Arabic but if there is an article I probably can translate it. btw based on my previous experiences I don't think those countries are interested in AWG at all, it will be really hard to find something. Mohsen1248 (talk) 18:37, 22 January 2017 (UTC)
- Searching is the hard part. I was looking for Qatar's and Lebanon's team in particular. Kuwait and Bahrain just have ice hockey teams so it shouldn't be too hard to find eventually. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 18:43, 22 January 2017 (UTC)
- @Sportsfan 1234: I did a bit of search, found nothing about Qatar but this article says Lebanon will send 3 athletes to the Games, 3 males, 3 females, didn't mention in which sport. Mohsen1248 (talk) 06:52, 23 January 2017 (UTC)

I believe this source [2] has the Lebanese team. Can you help please translate it? Thanks! Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 03:52, 31 January 2017 (UTC)
- @Sportsfan 1234: Yes sure. since Arabic names can be transliterated in so many ways I checked the names with FIS database.
- Alpine skiing - Sophia Marie Fayad, Carlie Maria Iskandar, Cyril Kayrouz, Raoul Al-Asmar
- Cross country - Samer Tawk, Lea Rahme
- Snowboard - Nafez Tauk, Huguette Fakhry Mohsen1248 (talk) 08:28, 31 January 2017 (UTC)
- Thank you for your help! Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 13:55, 31 January 2017 (UTC)
- Hi again, [3] this has UAE's team... if you don;t mind translating it along with the title of the article. And the title of these two articles [4], [5] Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 14:55, 3 February 2017 (UTC)
- @Sportsfan 1234: Hi, here is what I can translate. first the titles "Ahmed bin Mohamed (apparently UAE NOC president): Emirates's goal will be podium in Asian Winter Games" and the second one "24 athletes represent UAE at the Asian Winter games". here is the Ice Hockey team. I tried to be accurate but these Arabic names can be transliterated in so many ways
- Faisal Al-Suwaidi, Hazaa Al-Saadi, Ahmed Al-Suwaidi, Said Al-Amri, Saeed Al-Nuaimi, Ahmed Atiq Al-Dhaheri, Faisal Al-Blooshi, Ali Mohamed Al-Hadad, Ayez Ahmad Al-Muhairbi, Mohamed Al-Dhaheri, Mohammad Saeed Al-Junaibi, Juma Al-Dhaheri, Omar Ali Al-Shamisi, Mohamed Saeed Al-Shamisi, Mohamed Hamad Al-Dhaheri, Suhail Al-Mehairi, Salim Al-Yafei, Obaid Al Al-Muharrami, Khalifa Al Mahrouqi, Khalid Al-Suwaidi, Theyab Ali Al-Sabousi, Mohamed Al-Zaabi, Mohamed Rashid Al-Kaabi
- beside that there is one female Figure skater, Zahra Lari. Mohsen1248 (talk) 00:08, 4 February 2017 (UTC)
- Thank you very much. Is there a mention of a flagbearer? Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 02:43, 4 February 2017 (UTC)
- You are welcome, I read the articles again, from what I understood there is no mention of a flagbearer. Mohsen1248 (talk) 22:37, 4 February 2017 (UTC)
- Hi again, this article [6] says 10 athletes. However they flip the numbers for alpine and snowboarding. Is this true? Also no mention of ice hockey. Have they withdrawn? Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 15:54, 12 February 2017 (UTC)
- @Sportsfan 1234: No, nothing has changed, I checked the original source and they are sending the same number as before, you should not trust English version of Iranian news websites, always full of mistakes. this came from the Skiing federation, that's why they didn't mention Ice Hockey (since the sport almost doesn't exist in Iran they call it "Skate Hockey"). Mohsen1248 (talk) 23:07, 12 February 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks! I am assuming the ice hockey team's names have yet to be released too? Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 23:10, 12 February 2017 (UTC)
- DO you know what happened with the ice hockey team? They arrived for the games, but did not compete in their first match. Is there anything in the Iranian press? Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 19:07, 18 February 2017 (UTC)
- @Sportsfan 1234: Yes I do and there is a lot about them. apparently other teams protested about the eligibility of some players in this Iranian team , since half of them born and raised outside of Iran, and it seems OCA disqualified half of the team. they are still in Sapporo and actually they played against Macau today and lost 8-1. but only with Iran-based players (those are not experienced in Ice Hockey at all) apparently this number of players are not enough to make a complete team, that's why OCA removed them from the competition, still they will play according to the original schedule but only as friendly matches.
- OCA eligibility rules are different than international federations, you have to live in that country for 3 years to be eligible, those players despite having Iranian heritage didn't live in Iran. Mohsen1248 (talk) 19:33, 18 February 2017 (UTC)

About Amin Yusefinezhad
Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Amin Yusefinezhad a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Hello. Thank you for contributing to the article. But we need to have sources listed in every article, so we need written confirmation on the Kazakh gymnast losing the medal. Can you provide a source, pelase? Thanks again. -- ThiagoSimoes (talk) 00:24, 11 August 2017 (UTC)
- Hi, surely there is a source, here but in Persian, they claim when they read the news about the doping on FIG website, they contacted FIG and after exchanging few emails, FIG finally confirmed that and congratulated the Iranian federation for that second bronze medal. New Page Reviewing

Iran at the 2018 Winter Olympics
Hi, is this article true [7]?
- @Sportsfan 1234: it looked a bit unlikely in first place. I googled a bit and found that some not-so-reliable persian sources and they all consider Iran Mountaineering Federation as their primary source, while I can't find this in the federation website ! Mohsen1248 (talk) 10:59, 26 December 2017 (UTC)
- Weird they chose a non-competing athlete... but its not like it hasn't happened in the past (with other countries). For now do you think we should keep it of the page? Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 15:46, 26 December 2017 (UTC)
- @Sportsfan 1234: Well, I have no idea, there are sources (even though not very reliable) for that but I don't think that's gonna happen. Mohsen1248 (talk) 21:46, 27 December 2017 (UTC)

Hi, the way you deleted that redirect has left me with a deleted item on my track record: [8] Could you please undo the deletion and move it instead, so it doesn't make it look like I had an article deleted? I don't want an undeserved stain on my track record. Thank you, Dr. Vogel (talk) 17:57, 8 March 2018 (UTC)
- I've fixed it now, but we need to find a way to do this that doesn't create that problem. It's a tricky one. Dr. Vogel (talk) 18:14, 8 March 2018 (UTC)
- I don't know what you are talking about, I just moved the page as I explained in the edit summary and I will do that again because obviously that was the correct name. Mohsen1248 (talk) 18:17, 8 March 2018 (UTC)
- I agree that it's a good idea to move it! I agree with you. The problem is that if you just move it like that, it shows as a deleted item, so there must be a better way. I'm trying to find out. Dr. Vogel (talk) 18:19, 8 March 2018 (UTC)
