Agatha All Along

Hi there. Thanks for all the work you have been putting into the new Agatha All Along episode articles. Two things I wanted to mention:

  1. Please make sure you are not creating the episode articles with incorrect article titles. If you are making an article directly in the mainspace then you should go to the correct title (which will currently redirect to the series article) and make the article there. If you are working on an article in draftspace or your own userspace and want to move it to the correct title then you should ask for someone to do that for you so the existing redirect can be overwritten. You can do that through an official move request or by going to Talk:Agatha All Along where an experienced editor like myself will be able to help out.
  2. Just so you know, there is already an existing draft for the first episode at Draft:Seekest Thou the Road which you can feel free to work on rather than starting from scratch (if you intend to work on that episode). And for future reference, you can find links to all MCU-related draft articles at Template:Marvel Cinematic Universe drafts. There is further info on MCU articles at WP:MCU.

Reach out if you have any questions, otherwise happy editing! - adamstom97 (talk) 18:30, 3 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much for the information. I was honestly lost on the article title issue, and was struggling to make sense of the procedure, your input is most helpful and I'll be sure to follow your guidelines. Slinora (talk) 18:41, 3 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I see you've been having some trouble with images. A couple things to keep in mind:
  1. We have to be careful about using non-free images on Wikipedia, which includes everything from posters to screenshots. If the image has not been made freely available for use on Wikimedia Commons, there needs to be a good reason for its use in an article.
  2. It is generally acceptable to use a poster in the Infobox as a way of identifying the topic of the article. To ensure that you are using it correctly, I recommend you go to another article with a similar poster and see what details have been provided on that image's page.
  3. Screenshots and other non-free content should only be used if there is a good reason, for example there is a visual element discussed in the article that would benefit from having an image to support it. You need to justify at the image's page why this visual support is needed; again, you can see what has been provided for other similar images. If you are unsure whether a non-free image meets the threshold for fair use, you should ask other editors at the talk page.
  4. Even if there is a good reason to use a non-free image, it cannot be used outside of the name space, so if you are building an article in draftspace or your own userspace you should hold off on uploading non-free images until the article is moved into the mainspace.
Let me know if you have any questions about specific images. - adamstom97 (talk) 09:46, 4 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Noted, thank you once more! Slinora (talk) 18:51, 4 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hey Adam, I'm here with a question. I recently noticed that the articles for episodes "If I Can't Reach You / Let My Song Teach You" and "Follow Me My Friend / To Glory at the End" don't turn up on Google search. Having reached out to Google, they've responded that it's something on Wikipedia's end, but I honestly could not make heads or tails of it. Have you by any chance encountered such a problem in the past? "Through Many Miles / Of Tricks and Trials" appears just fine on the search engine, and I can't think of anything different I did over there than with the other two, except moving it to mainspace the correct way as you'd suggested. Thank you for your time and for all the advice you've offered so far. Slinora (talk) 02:56, 6 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know why that is happening, it may be related to when the articles were patrolled or something? "If I Can't Reach You" is showing up now so hopefully "Follow Me My Friend" will soon. - adamstom97 (talk) 10:33, 6 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
