Welcome to Wikipedia. I saw how you edited or created Kings Weston House, and I noticed that the username you have chosen, "KWactiongroup", seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of something other than yourself. Please note that you may not edit on behalf of a company, group, institution, product, or website, and Wikipedia does not allow usernames that are promotional or have the appearance of shared use. If you are willing to use a personal account, please take a moment to create a new account or request a username change that represents only yourself as an individual. You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and remember that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 17:36, 6 December 2012 (UTC)

Hi. I changed my username to Shep_24 a few months ago which was requested and approved, but I don't know why it isn't showing this change. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.236.94.127 (talk) 13:29, 6 January 2013 (UTC)
- Hi, I can see two edits by you to the house today, the first is as Shep, the second is back as KW, and now you're not logged in at all.
- This is usually caused by either using two computers, or else you've logged out (deliberately, accidentally or automatically) and then gone back in under the old username. Check the top right hand corner of the window.
- Also it's worth changing the KW password to be different, and not storing it automatically. As I guess both accounts have the same password (what most people do, most of the time!) then it's all too easy for your computer to flip you back to an old saved identity and then you bash the new password in without realising it. As it works for both accounts, then you drop into the old group account without noticing.
- Really though, don't sweat it. WP has a strong policy against "group account" names, for good reasons, but it's recognised that many people get caught by this entirely innocently and so no-one really minds. Just rename the account (as you've done) and get editing.
- Thanks for your efforts so far. KW House is a lovely place and improving our coverage is much appreciated. I lived in Bristol for years, even Shirehampton at one time, so I know it moderately well. Andy Dingley (talk) 13:39, 6 January 2013 (UTC)
