adkins photos of Sengaku-ji
Adkins site of photos of sengaku-ji is one of the best on the web. How could you not find relevence of having links to it on the Bushido page? Sengaku-ji is a part of the 47 ronin story, THE national story of Japan and one of the ultimate examples of Bushido in Japanese history. It is a disservice to wikipedia readers to remove these important links. The second link demonstrates the reverence of the people three hundred years later to the ako-gishi and their adherence to the Bushido ideal. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.6.204.111 (talk) 12:50, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- Mostly because link #1 was directed at the picture section (which is all I saw the first time around) and link #2 was for a picture essay also (Which served no usefulness to the article what so ever). Additionally there are articles specifically for sengaku-ji and the Forty-seven Ronin. --ShakataGaNai (talk) 16:57, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
Picture number two is VERY important because it shows the reverence of the people to the Ako-gishi and the Bushido Ideal. Articles are still written and thousands of people make pilgrimige to the site each year. On the 300th anniversary, more than 100,000 people appeared at the site. I think this is worthy of mention. I was the person who orginally brought attention to the adkins site by links and it is probably the best and most complete photo set of Sengaku-ji online. If anything, Sengaku-ji and the loyal 47 are a symbol of fidelity and adherence to Bushido —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.6.204.111 (talk) 09:10, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
AutoWikiBrowser
Hi,
I have approved you for AutoWikiBrowser. You can download it from here. Good luck! jj137 ♠ 15:08, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
Oh lol, I'm not a fan of Tessie - I was working on List of cryptids and the Tessie monster isn't notable to have its own article, so I redirected the link on the list to the Lake Tahoe article and made a small notation there as you're supposed to do... I don't care either way, but I thought it odd redirecting to an article which doesn't even have a brief mention on the subject. JSYK. :) Spawn Man (talk) 08:11, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- Fair enough, I was a bit confused as to why a decent editor would "vandalize" but putting mentions of Tessie on the Lake Tahoe Page. I'll look around to see if there is a place for the mention. Thanks for explaining. --ShakataGaNai Talk 08:13, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- Lol - I didn't even know there was a lake called Tahoe in Amercia before today... :) Spawn Man (talk) 08:25, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, ya see, now this is why you contribute to Wikipedia, You learn something new every day! I just happen to have lived in the Lake Tahoe basin for a half dozen years, so I keep a close eye on the article. Personally I think that Tahoe Tessie was more of a joke than anything else, but there are those who swear by it. I'll see if I can dig up some real info on it later and post it again with Ref's. --ShakataGaNai Talk 08:34, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- I searched around and couldn't find anything useful. I asked a guy and he said the best thing to do would be to redirect the link to Lake Tahoe and write a small piece there. But maybe if you could find some books at your local library (They'll probably have it as town history right?) maybe we could make an article out of it? Cheers, Spawn Man (talk) 08:49, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- You did the correct thing by redirecting it, I also checked on the Tahoe discussion and there was a single question about this. I will see if I can find enough info on the net to at least warrant its own heading under Misc. I doubt Tessie would ever be worth its own article - Unlike its famous breathern, Nessie, I think Tessie is just a joke (And out of hand one at that). But what ever I find, I'll let you know. Thanks for your input. --ShakataGaNai Talk 08:56, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Oh lord
[1] These vandals are getting creative aren't they? :) — Save_Us_229 09:38, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, they did try. Try mightily. But in the end I beat them. It would have been nice if an admin had banned em a little faster - but oh well - what can ya do? Good thing 3R doesn't count for vandalism, otherwise I'd get the hammer too. --ShakataGaNai Talk 17:56, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
My own personal opinion
I find your username to be senselessly "wapanese", and advise you to return to the website where you got your image macro (the cat with the bad grammar). Followed by not warning people for leaving comments on your personal TALK page, for which the only real violation of the rules was in not leaving four tildes. Pish-posh and tweedle-twaddle! 70.74.198.219 (talk) 05:39, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- Regardless of where it is, vandalism is vandalism. You're previous "attempts" to communicate were construed as vandalism. But I do appreciate your message. --ShakataGaNai Talk 05:40, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
Leave something for me!!!
I'm getting very used to seeing "unable to roll back" due to "Gurch". Leave something for the rest of us!!! Just kidding, keep up the good work. I guess wiki is safe for now, I can take a break ^_^ --ShakataGaNai Talk 06:31, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- If I'm patrolling at this time of day there will be a good chance you won't be able to revert anything; editing is slow enough that I can review every edit. Rest assured that I cannot contribute 24 hours a day, however, and there is thus plenty of opportunity to revert stuff during more busy periods. Though you may well end up losing out to DerHexer, KnowledgeOfSelf or perhaps just ClueBot instead – Gurch 06:37, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
Vandalism
Thanks for cleaning up after all the vandalism stemming from the Monte Vista High School Page. It's pretty ridiculous. Tiger Khan (talk) 18:14, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- LOL, no problem. Once in a time long forgotten I went to MVHS. In addition I found that the little kids (high schoolers) love to deface the page of their own high school, and of rivals. And while it wouldn't stop the problem, I really wish anonymous edits didn't have the "undo" feature. Makes it wayyyy to easy for them. --ShakataGaNai Talk 20:19, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
