Question from TrayectosEnElMundo (01:34, 22 July 2023)
Hello! I was hoping to help complement English pages about Mexican political institutions and politicians with information available in the Spanish version of the same pages. I'm struggling a little bit to figure out how to properly give credit to the work of the editors in the Spanish versions of the page. I'd appreciate any guidance I could get on this matter and thanks in advance! --TrayectosEnElMundo (talk) 01:34, 22 July 2023 (UTC)
- @TrayectosEnElMundo: - at the top of the page there is an auto-cite option, if the references are from a website, you can plug that in. If not, the rules for citation are at WP:FOOTNOTES and WP:CI to my knowledge. Royal Autumn Crest (talk) 15:29, 25 July 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you so much for taking the time to reply! I'll be sure to give these a read! TrayectosEnElMundo (talk) 01:05, 26 July 2023 (UTC)
Summer Phoenix edit
I saw your edit to Summer Phoenix after I replied to your message on the article's talk page. Unfortunately, I had to revert your addition of a date of birth because IMDb is not a reliable source. Please see WP:IMDB for comments on that topic. You might want to look at WP:USERGENERATED to see names of some other sources that are similarly unreliable.
Also, when you add a source to an article, you need to do so in the form of a citation, rather than using an embedded external link. Wikipedia:Citing sources gives guidelines as to how to create citations for various kinds of sources. If you use the source editor, four templates for different types of citations are available via a drop-down menu to make creating citations easier. Eddie Blick (talk) 01:18, 12 August 2023 (UTC)
Question from Sidharthpandit555 (06:33, 25 August 2023)
Hello, sir. I want to ask how to create a page for the startup Primebook. They are the one who manufactures the cheapest laptop in India based on android. Please help me in that --Sidharthpandit555 (talk) 06:33, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
Question from Anansol0 (16:36, 26 October 2023)
My feedback says that my draft doesn't include the minimum standard for inline citations but I'm not really sure what that means --Anansol0 (talk) 16:36, 26 October 2023 (UTC)
- @Anansol0:. You need to have better references and it needs to meet notability standards. Check this out Wikipedia:Verifiability. Also this - Wikipedia:Notability (people) Royal Autumn Crest (talk) 00:02, 27 October 2023 (UTC)

Question from Ittybittykittycommittee (14:55, 27 February 2024)
My friend, hope you have been well. Could you take a peek at this if you have time? Cheers!

- @Ittybittykittycommittee: Just to confirm, you want Hygrothermy to redirect into Amann’s Index of Hygrothermy? Royal Autumn Crest (talk) 05:20, 1 March 2024 (UTC)
- That's correct. Ittybittykittycommittee (talk) 11:51, 1 March 2024 (UTC)
- @Ittybittykittycommittee: Gotcha. Put Hygrothermy into the search, there should be a red link, click on that and make the redirect there. Instructions on how to make a redirect are at Wikipedia:Redirect Royal Autumn Crest (talk) 13:08, 1 March 2024 (UTC)
Question from Polargrizbear
You were assigned as my mentor about 2 years ago and I would like to ask you what would be the best course of action in this scenario. I would like to nominate the Mewing (facial restructuring technique) article for deletion. From what I understand it does not meet the standards of notability. The article was only created last month and clearly only exists because it is a current meme. I just want to know how exactly I should go forward and what type of deletion would be best for it. Polargrizbear (talk) 04:21, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
- @Polargrizbear: The deletion process is discussed here, this would probably go to AFD if you would like to nominate it for deletion. There's more info on the deletion process here. Let me know if you have any other questions. Royal Autumn Crest (talk) 00:38, 23 March 2024 (UTC)
A question on a likely troll
Hello, I previously messaged you to ask about possible ways to delete the mewing article. I have failed to do this. Since then I have discovered that the creator of this article also has created several articles related to so called 'brain rot' terms. Some of their other contributions include Gyat and Rizz. It appears they are also drafting other pieces of brain rot articles for the future. This person is almost definitely a troll/griefer. I would just like to know what I can do to bring this to the attention of a moderator or someone else that has the power to stop this. Polargrizbear (talk) 15:07, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Polargrizbear: I think the best place to start would be WP:AN, the administrators might be able to provide details on how to proceed. Royal Autumn Crest (talk) 17:09, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
Please note that users who haven't made any edits aren't supposed to be welcomed. I understand, because I have done it in the past too. (Please let me know if you think I made a mistake) thetechie@enwiki: ~/talk/ $ 02:04, 3 June 2024 (UTC)
- @TheTechie: Hi. If someone is new, then I am going to welcome them regardless of edit count. Thanks! Royal Autumn Crest (talk) 10:14, 3 June 2024 (UTC)
- See here: Wikipedia:Welcoming_committee#Discuss_plans:
It is widely accepted (but not required!) that users with no edits should not be welcomed to save on server resources and also because most templates start with "Thank you for your Contributions" (or similar). Furthermore, until edits are made, it's impossible to determine if the user has bad intentions, and created the account purposely to vandalize Wikipedia.
thetechie@enwiki: ~/talk/ $ 15:05, 3 June 2024 (UTC)- @TheTechie: Thanks! But like I said, I will continue to assume good faith per established project guidelines. I'm sure if server resources become an issue, then the talk pages and contributions of the blocked users can be deleted once it is determined that they are not here to edit the encyclopedia and they cannot be reformed from their behavior. Jon Kiper
Wow, looks like Jon Kiper's page was deleted. I guess he's not a notable person under Wikipedia's guidelines. Then again, I would expect you to know that if you weren't so busy engaging in personal attacks against the opinions of others. Although I suppose if your argument was stronger, you wouldn't have had to resort to your tone. Given your incivil tone, I honestly think that your opposition to my nomination had some kind of ulterior purpose.
