Hey there Pyramoe. I wanted to stop by here and give you a bit of a helping hand. Please understand that Wikipedia has a policy about self-published sources, readable at WP:SELFPUB with a lot of the applicable language available via WP:ABOUTSELF. This policy states that an article cannot be sourced principally to self-published sources. While this is left vague I'd suggest that if more than 50% of your article is WP:ABOUTSELF content you probably don't yet have a viable article.
I know this can be frustrating, especially as mainstream media sources are unlikely to give any attention to a Trotskyist party unless something very alarming has happened. However a review of the Wikipedia library on the search string of +"Socialist Alternative" +Sweden brings up 162 results, so reliable sources likely exist. If you care strongly about making sure this party is appropriately represented on Wikipedia I would suggest you seek out appropriate reliable secondary sources (see our definition of a secondary source at WP:SECONDARY) and use them as a basis to draft a replacement article. I hope this helps you navigate these issues. Simonm223 (talk) 20:19, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you a lot for explaining. I have found a source which is a document called Hotet från vänster, published by the Swedish Ministry of Justice and the Swedish Security Service in 2002, which includes about 90% of the information that was on the article. I have also found a bunch of other sources from media, books, etc. which have some but quiet little information. I have rewritten the article mostly based on Hotet från vänster and not including any self-published source, but I have obviously not published it yet because I don't know if my rewritten article still follows policy, and I obviously don't want to cause any more drama being an inexperienced editor and not having a full understanding of how everything works. Hotet från vänster does have references to other sources in the text but these are sources I wouldn't be able to get access to. What do you think? Pyramoe (talk) 01:02, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please keep in mind that that document would represent a primary source and, as such, is also inappropriate as a basis for establishing notability by Wikipedia standards. I'd suggest you look for information from academic sources. If you cannot find any then mainstream newspedia is generally going to be acceptable. Simonm223 (talk) 13:02, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
