User talk:Phillipmorantking

Hello, Phillipmorantking, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

I noticed that you joined the WikiProject Council and that you've created the new Wikipedia:WikiProject Red Dwarf. I added a userbox to the project page for members to use, and put the project in the "new projects" section of the Wikipedia:Community Portal. You might want to consult the WP:PROJGUIDE for some ideas about how best to publicize and set up your new project. Glad to have you aboard, and please feel free to ask any questions that come up on either the WikiProject Council talk page, where you'll probably get better answers, or directly to me. Good luck with the project.

Again, welcome!  Badbilltucker 22:00, 13 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe you could try Category:Wikipedians from Essex and also place notices e.g. at Wikipedia:WikiProject England. Simply south (talk) 19:41, 3 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Red Dwarf peer review

Hi there. The Red Dwarf article has just been requested for a Peer Review. As a member of Wikipedia:WikiProject Red Dwarf I was wondering if you would like to join in on the discussions. The article has gone through some major changes in the last few months, and it would be fantastic if a prominent editor/contributor like yourself, could head over and give some sound opinion and ideas on improvements for the page. If you are interested in joining the peer review discussion with other prominent users/contributors, much like yourself, please follow the link. Thank you very much for your help and your continued effort to improve Wikipedia and its quality! Wikipedia:Peer review/Red Dwarf --Nreive (talk) 11:48, 5 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for replying so quickly. A peer review involves a number of people looking through the article and discussing how it can be improved. This usually happens before the article is submitted for assessment. More info can be found here at Wikipedia:Peer review and an example of a recent peer review is here Wikipedia:Peer review/Heroes (TV series)/archive2. Your time and effort given to this peer review is appreciated. Thanks again. --Nreive (talk) 13:58, 5 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
